Magic and Spells

Mana flows through the world and through every being and object. It is recycled through the stars and returned to There Great Plane. Magic is the manipulation of mana into an ethereal or physical manifestation. Magic is a third arm that wields powerful tools to empower life to change the world. The tavern master waves his hand to will the candles out after closing up the bar. Plants blossom for the gardener and the steel glows blue for the smith. Those who can strengthen and preserve their will can change destiny itself. When the wizard comes to understand the nature of the world they need not to exert their strength to bellow their flames just as a knight extends his will as an unbreakable shield and sword. There is no limit to the possibilities of magic and how to cast it. It is dependent on the castor to command or create but mana has a will of its own. Mana has memories and sources such as the celestial bodies and people themselves are connected to all other sources of mana.   Casting Spells   A spell is a manipulation of mana by a sentient being. They can cast fire by using physics in which case the spell would only be as powerful as the caster's knowledge of how fire works and the power of their will to create it. A Shared Spell is a spell invoked by a memories from the mana and bring forth the essencse of fire from a collective mana memory and the castor uses thier will to bring it forward. The first is learning magic and the latter is sharing magic. Shared magic requires strength to wield great magics and a deep connection with mana to be able to see these memories. Shared magic is an emotional magic that is brought to the surface when experiencing extreme emotions.   Rituals are prepared spells that can be contained in limitless ways. Gems and certain minerals contain varying amounts of mana are very common channels of ritual spells but things such as scrolls, patches, relics and artifacts, or wands and septres are excellent channels for magic.   Some magics are inherent or genetic. These bloodline magics are anomalies within the world's connection and are typically created and usually by deities or powerful magic users. These bloodline magics are different and do not follow the same rules as learned magic.   Wild magic is spells created by nature such as plants and animals. These aren't willed spells and are typically created during powerful natural events like droughts or hurricanes decimate the wilds.
