Background
S:01 "Heaven Exists to be Summited"
On the first day of the party arriving at the Magaambya, they are meant to meet with Takulu Ot as their introduction to the academy. Adira recalls from her parents that Takulu Ot was wasted potential. He could have been a great diviner and augurer, but instead chose to set down his roots at the academy, become a teacher and not set his own path.
After the party defeats some creatures within a fountain in front of the Scroll & Songbird, Takulu Ot introduces himself and congratulates them on a victory.
Takulu explains that he will begin an interview, in which he will present a series of challenges that the party must resolve. Once they do, they'll be officially in the academy, and can refer to him as Teacher Ot.
The tasks were done successfully, and so Teacher Ot provides the party with spells to use on their journey as initiates. As they walk out of the Scroll & Sunbird, Teacher Ot makes mention of the Spire Dormitory where the party will stay, but not without Laura biting his ankle.
S:02 "The Only Part Of You That Burns in Hell is the Part That Won't Let Go"
Teacher Ot takes the party around the Magaambya and provides insight on the many places available to students. He provides some knowledge on the several different statues of the Ten Magic Warriors. When they cross the Welcome Walk, he mentions that if people pass by the arc, they can be blessed with visions of their future, so people take a moment to reflect when passing the arc.
As the party continues their path, Teacher Ot explains what the Circle is. He mentions the raw power of this place is impossible to alter or pull way from it, but can be fed. He watches the group's reactions. He mentions there are altogether 14 initiates that he sponsors, including one named Anchor Root who may drop out.
Teacher Ot takes the party to the Powderpile to receive their allowance and sign-in bonus, and their beads. He gets spooked by Teacher Lesedi, who introduces herself.
After Teacher Ot drops the party off at the Spire Dormitory, Nymeria and Eshe give some clothing advice and some items to really try to improve his look so he can one up Lesedi.
S:07 "He Tampered in God's Domain"
Teacher Ot was present after the ambush at the Introduction Ceremony, and was seen interrogating Kurshkin with Teacher Zuma to no avail. He seemed frustrated, and they discussed further plans, he let the Cohort try their shot at talking to the pugwampi. After Adira gave some threats at Kurshkin, Teacher Ot made a face of intense concentration, hoping Adira wouldn't do anything too rash or bold on it. His confidence was well-placed as the group didn't do anything to the pugwampi.
Teacher Ot is asked if the Magaambya has any enemies, and he answers with that the academy doesn't have any enemies that could at least attack the school. He then turns the question to the group if there were any enemies that have followed us here.
Teacher Ot, Ulawa and Zuma discuss where to hold the pugwampi, which they agree with the Black Heron Library.
S:08 "God May Judge You But His Sins Outnumber Your Own"
The party heads over to Teacher Ot's office at his request, located at the Elephant Museum. They notice that his room is full of documents all over and books, a bit of a mess. Teacher Ot gives an update on what happened, and that Kurshkin will be sent back to their home plane within the next couple of days. He mentioned that there are several areas in the academy that seem to not be as well-guarded or protected, and that things will need to be tightened. One such area is the Tree-Stump Library, which he mentions he has a task for the Anteater Cohort to complete.
He mentions he needs the party to collect materials from that space, and to check to see what exactly is going on with these reports of shadows. After more details were discussed, Nymeria and Teacher Ot have a private conversation about Nymeria's new friend, her eidolon Tonali.
S:10 "All knowledge is based on what we cannot prove. will you fight? or will you perish like a dog?"
The party returns after a successful venture into the Tree-stump Library, with all of the books requested by Teacher Ot. They allow him to check the books and provide us back a copy of each. When the spellskiens jumped out of Eshe's bag, he was excited and showed almost like a childhood wonder with them.
After all was said and done, the party had a final discovery for Teacher Ot. They mentioned the dead body and shackles found in the room, and the Kill List with his name, and Adira's parents on it, and his teacher.
Teacher Ot's mood shifted heavy. He began to explain why this was so meaningful and told a story.
He told a story of his original Cohort, under the mentorship of Janatimo. The group was made of him, a woman named Eris, Salimu, and a mage named Masarasa. They were going through their own perquisite, and as they got to their second task of taking care of the pugwampis, something went wrong. Masarasa killed all of the pugwampis.
This lead to the initiate to be promptly expelled.
As the Cohort was missing a spot, another group was ready to kick one of their own out for have bothered them so much, and that was Nahara Zinnia, who joined Janatimo's cohort.
Teacher Ot explains more in detail Masarasa's downfall, until he mentions that he believed he was dead for many years as he kept using the augury spells to confirm, but couldn't find the place of his death as it was too difficult. The fact it was in the academy can explain that.
After the conversation, Teacher Ot seemed to be pensive and and wanted to be left alone as this was a final chapter in his life. Eshe offers an Evil Eye wit hthe design of a moon of 7 spoikes, and offers condolences to Teacher Ot, letting him know that if there's always a path to redemption.
