Mafika is a Lore-speaker of the Magaambya, within the Tempest-Sun Mages. He's rumored to be a rather formidable mage.

Description

Appearance

Mafika is a tall Zenj human, with a broad built frame with multiple scars all over. He has short-cropped black as obsidian hair, and his eyes bear a golden hue from a permanent enchantment. He has a tattoo of the Tempest-Sun Mage's symbol on the back of his left hand, and a mask of a blink dog upon a hook along his scabbard, that holds his bastard sword of adamantine. He wears mithral armor.

Personality

Although formidable and seemingly powerful, Mafika carries an air of confidence and ease as he speaks with people. He's shown to be very cool under pressure, reassuring the Cohort after the Introduction Ceremony. He's however described as intense and grueling during classes, he doesn't cut corners when it comes to being a teacher.

Background

S:07 "He Tampered in God's Domain"

Mafika was present after the ambush at the Introduction Ceremony, and escorted the Spire Dormitory members back to their dorms. He introduced himself as the Tempest-Sun Mage, and wished they could meet under better circumstances.

S:08 "God May Judge You But His Sins Outnumber Your Own"

As Adira and Orvin spar with the other Tempest-Sun mages, Mafika walks over to them as they're taking a rest. Mafika takes his time to teach Adira how to grapple and drop a mage casting a spell. Mafika successfully tackles Orvin, and shows off his skills easily. He then teaches Orvin some techniques on how to cast Shield.
