Petal District

The Petal District is the richest area of Absalom City, and it is obvious to anyone who enters. It sits atop Aroden's hill and the streets are lined with well groomed flowers, many of them from exotic locations. The richest Noble families live here, some are traditional lineages from Absaloms past, some are new nobles.

Demographics

Diverse ethnicities of humans, elves, and gnomes make up the property owners. There are also Dwarves and halflings employed in high positions in various households, and a broad mix of others serve as guards or servants.

Government

Technically run by The Conclave of Flowers, although it is really used as a training ground for young nobles to learn politics. The powerful families are the ones actually in charge. The head of this council is not called a Nomarch, but a Satrap, and the current one is Urkon of House Ormuz.

Defences

The Petal Guards are the colloquial name for the guards of this district. They are easy to spot due to their excessively shiny armour. The important families all have hired guards that protect them, meaning that much of what the Petal Guards end up policing is altercations between the various private family guards.

Industry & Trade

Only the finest establishments are allowed to open in this district. A few of note are as follows; The College of Mysteries, Thuvian Embassy, and Silken Court. That would be a magic school, an embassy, and the most expensive brothel in the city.
