Azlanti Keep
The Azlanti Keep is the seat of Absalom City's military. The Keep itself is large enough to be it's own district but it lacks any form of Council. It is run strictly as a military compound by The First Guard.
Government
The Captain of the First Guard and Commander Militant of Absalom is Rothos. He is the sole ruler of the Azlanti Keep, but he only has those positions due to being appointed by the Grand Council.
Defences
The walls and gates into the Keep are massive, possibly the largest on Golarion. They stand 200ft high and 20ft thick, designed as a last resort of the other city walls are breached in an attack.
Industry & Trade
There is no trade for commoners here, but there is still a market of sorts. The Open Quartering is a large market that sells military equipment, at or below cost, to the district guards and any other military body of Absalom.
There is also a significant weapons creation industry located under the Keep. They vent underground steam to run massive forges. A combination of skilled crafters and magicians continue to experiment on new weapon technologies.
Infrastructure
The Keep has several sprawling storehouses and 'bunk fields' which see little use in normal circumstances. They are designed to house and feed non-combatants in the event of a major siege of the city.
Architecture
It is named the Azlanti Keep not because it is necessarily linked to the Azlanti, but because it's architecture is modelled after theirs. This includes, massive stone structures with wide balconies, large flat roofs, and spacious grand halls.
