Tamandra Cotts
Tamandra Cotts
First encountered by the Party while visiting the northern Andoran mining town of Caldamin, during one of the literally groundbreaking fights between local beasts Auger and Shepherd. After a break in the action, our Adventurers swapped stories, learned a bit more about the Pathfinder Society, and surprised Tamandra with information about their rather unorthodox initiation into the Society under the newly-minted venture captain Asheron Coyle.
After collecting field samples from Auger and Shepherd, Tamandra was unexpectedly recommissioned to serve under Asheron Coyle, Venture Captain At-Large, and given orders to meet Jarn's Best Friends at the Meadowspire. When JBF activated The Wheel and teleported to the Isle of Kortos, Tamandra hitched a ride.
She has now joined the covert Liberty's Edge faction, and puts her investigative prowess and poison lore to good use alongside Asheron Coyle, Tamrin Creedence, Silent Sparrow, and Brody of Carpenden in the pursuit of Andoran national security.

Personal history
"Greetings Asheron,
While I'm still not sure I understand the nature of the matter, you'll no doubt be pleased to know that your request has - at the behest of the Decemvirate - been approved. I will see to the details of the matter, and ensure that her promotion and reassignment orders are sent before week's end.
As a courtesy, from one Venture Captain to another, I would volunteer some insight so that you, and the other initiates under your direction, may best utilize her various talents. Firstly, know that Scribe Cotts has proven to be one of the most accomplished young researchers the Almas Lodge has seen in some time. To say that she is at ease in a library is a gross understatement. Her knowledge of the written word is near-encyclopedic, and at times she is capable of recalling obscure bits of information with stunning detail.
Do not, however, mistake her for some frail, cloistered bookworm - Cotts is more than capable of applying her vast knowledge in the field, and has been eager to do so for some time now. She requested enrollment at the House of Spells, in addition to her coursework at the House of Scrolls (and was a right pest about it, I might add). I instead arranged for her to study with a team of Investigators, as I felt it was a better use of her skills and would give her a more appropriate challenge. Once there, she quickly fit in and found a knack for extract alchemy. As I'm sure you understand, such training is useful, but comes with inherent limits - extract alchemy allows one to enhance only their own abilities, and no one else's.
Her time with the Investigators also allowed ample opportunity to cross-train with small blades, and she has proven to be rather adept with a dagger, especially when given a moment to study her target. Her training is enough to grant favorable results in the event of personal defense and light skirmishes, but know that her strengths lie outside of intense combat. I suspect that she understands this, as she has recently taken a rather intense interest in poison lore, likely as a means to better defend herself and others in the field.
It may take some time for Miss Cotts to receive her new assignment. When she does, expect some mild resistance, and a possible delay. Once she has decided to investigate something, she can be as tenacious as a bloodhound. After completing her training, she volunteered to head north and study those two strange, violent beasts that have taken up residence outside of Caldamin. She will likely be reluctant to leave until she feels her survey is complete. However, once she arrives, I'm certain you'll find Tamandra to be a trustworthy, talented, and capable member of your team.
May your Path stretch ever onward,
~ V.C. Brackett
