Gnoll Rabies
A form of rabies transmuted from gnolls.
Transmission & Vectors
If bitten by a Gnoll with Gnoll rabies, or if physical contact is made with it's saliva, than it is transferred.
Causes
This disease was created when a Hyena with rabies ate from Yeenoghu's killings.
Symptoms
When the disease is contracted, the victim will begins getting mild headaches and a fever. After about a week, the symptoms will get worse, causing the victim to become more aggressive and agitated, and will gain an insatiable hunger for all things meat. Creatures who cannot eat meat or are herbivores still get this desire. Gnolls with this disease won't eat others of their kind, unless necessary.
Treatment
Most types of exorcisms tend to remove this disease. Drinking tea, sleep, and in general anything that would calm down someone who is stressed can extend the time before they become wild, up to 5 weeks. Being put into a stressing situation, such as combat, also tends to shorten the time before becoming wild.
Prognosis
After going wild, the victim usually becomes a little more than a savage animal. Sometimes, however, one can keep their mind, and usually begin worshipping Yeenoghu.
Sequela
Creatures hit by Limbo stuff with this disease will become a Gnoll.
Prevention
Avoiding Gnolls helps stop the spread
