Demons are created by Chaotic Evil people dying, as well as worshippers of Demon Lords. They can also be made from Demon Lords.

Demons can evolve when they gain favor with a Demon Lord, or if they consume a Strong Devil.

Demons can live anywhere, because they are fit to live everywhere.

Demons are Carnivores, but they do not need to eat. Their favorite foods are Humanoid and Devil.

Almost every Demon lives in the Abyss. The few who doesn't are likely slaves to a powerful wizard.

History
Demons were created when reality began. They were trapped in the Abyss, unable to leave, until -98003145cr, when they too many demons where created, destroying the barrier keeping them in the Abyss. Their threat to everything prompted even the gods to intervene, sending legions of Angels to fight off the Demons. Many of these angels would end up becoming Devils.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Everything hates Demons. Everything. Even people who use Demons for their own purposes, hate Demons. Other Demons hates Demons. No one Likes Demons.
Devils hate Demons more than anything else.
