The Rebuke of Atropina
As the Empire of Microsia's power continued to grow in the East, the Atropina Belladon's lands were some of the first to be afflicted by the Blight. In a panic, and beginning to succumb to the Blight herself, the Atropina turned to the Lady Rose for protection. The Lady Rose, in all her self-righteous vainglory, scorned the Atropina for her request. Her scathing words are as follows:
"Accursed Atropine, you know we do not interfere in the secular affairs of the humans. They are a vermin on this world and deserve less than none of our attention. You speak of this plague and that king, you call upon me as the Lady Protector, yet what am I to protect against? All human empires are but passing fancies. My devouts among them sing songs of my glory and their lives remain stable. O you Sick and Bitter Belladon, what care have I for a Blight you cannot prove plagues you or a meager King who would be great? This Trástaleon is nothing more than an insolent fool who will surely be trounced by the other realms at the first sign of aggression. Why must you seek to involve me in matters beneath me so? Do no return to my court again, I must get back to my work." -- a rebuke, from the Lady Rose to the Court of Atropina
