Shadow Man Missives

Below is the collection of missives found in the office of @Dagan 'the shadow man' in Fort Hope: 

Missive #1: 

This is a report about @Muddock Bronzemase, chieftain of a large @Duragar tribe, who's son was murdered by scouts from the Orc Village, @Ogol. The village is run by run by the orcs @old Cleo and @frong. This has lead to an intense blood war. @Ogol has been under siege ever since. At this rate the Orc village will be wiped out by The Void or the @duragar. @Ogol seems to be an area of interest to @Dagan as they have declined to work with them and insist on living off their own land. 

Missive #2: 

An important but unknown magical artifact has been stolen from the @dragon* that lives on the volcanic island across the sea. When the Hell Knights were meeting with @Dagan in Fort Hope, the Captian had sent a small team to steal this artifact from the @dragon. The @dragon isn't aware of who has taken it but has been sending out some of its @kobold followers to search for it.    
* There was a small note on the dragon, they not sure what he looks like, but they have heard a rumor that he is a black dragon called Immynth. 

Missive #3: 

This missive is a list of books that have been stolen from the library at Fort Hope and they believe they have been taken to Fort Laeves for Witch Queen Sauna - player knowledge. The books were: 

• Amongst the Celestial Halls (@Old Common) 
• Amris, Fairy Tales(Elvan) 
• The History of the Goddess Amris (Gnomish) 
• Paladins, Servants of the Gods (Old Common) 
• Ascension (Celestial) 
• Mysteries of the Alchemical World (Dwalvish) 

Missive #4: 

This is a report from the three goblin spies who are based inside of @Camp Dawn. They have all finally managed to work their way into trusted positions at the campsite. The leader has managed to get herself into the household staff of Melon, the court wizard. They are planning to kidnap him during his next expedition and take him to the Fort Hope so they can force him to work on a spell or device that destroys Dawn Crystals. The plan to kidnap him at the end of the first month in the year 10,000 AF. 

Missive #5: 

This is a very short message written in Abyssal, confirming the [deamon mage's invitation to the next @necromage council meeting. It gives no more information. 

Missive #6:

There is a quarry to the south of the fort. It is owned by [deamon mage. There is a report from the project manager there. He believes that they are not far away from finding what they are looking for. He also notes that a few slaves seem to have been possessed by something. This has caused other slaves to try to run away. There has been quite a high death count and he requests more slaves to be sent down. 

Missive #7: 

This missive is a set of notes from an old book called Icons of the Abyss - Dimane's Greatest Achievement.   
This appears to be a book on a set of wood icons created by icon artist Dimane, who had been experimenting with using small statues/paintings to aid in the summoning of creatures from the Abyss.* Dimane was widely successful, many of his icons are locked away due to their immense power. However, his five most notable pieces were based on 5 different elements of the Abyssal King @kronos. These 5 icons are believed to be powerful enough to summon the demon king to our plane. It is believed he would banish the titans back to Hell and begin a new reign of chaos throughout the Planescape.  The book says that after his disappearance Dimane's assistant hid the icons so they would not fall into the hands of people who wanted to destroy them. He hid three in the Material Plane, one in the Underdark, and one in the Feywild. 


*This work was later used sinister means, now called figurine making, small states can be used to summon spirits of creatures into the material plane. 

Missive #8: 

This missive contains a letter from the Pirate Town on Thunder Island. It is written in bad Titan, it is telling the Fort to surrender themselves, in the name of @Agethea . If they do not they will be taken by force, and the gnomes will free all the slaves.   
There is a note from the [deamon mage telling @dagan how to reply. He wants him to tell the gnomes to try, with a side note to Dagan about how funny it would be to see them try. As he has been watching the gnomes and they haven't even captured a signal enemy ship yet.
