Ogol

Demographics

It is an all Orc and goat settlement.  Not that they'd be opposed to mixing things up a little.

Government

The town is currently trying to save up enough metal to introduce a monetary system, things currently work on a barter system.    Frong Stoutgrump is the face of the town. He was voted mayor 5 years ago and is yet to loose an election. However, he understands that he is expected to take advice and direction from @old cleo. He runs the Village Guard and she runs the book club.    @Bristle Ponks is in charge of the trade between the village and other settlements. He is also head of the farming guild.

Industry & Trade

The main trade in the village happens between Ogol and the Thunder Bay gnome settlement.    The gnomes bring in books, clothes, and other luxury items. The orcs make weapons for them and they also trade goats. They also provide the gnomes with wood to make their new ships with. The ladies of the village are good at making scary pirate flags.

Guilds and Factions

There is an Ogol city guard, made up of Frong Stoutgrump and 6 other Orcs. Their main job is to watch the path leading up the village for monsters and to protect the artifacts.    Old Cleo runs a reading club, most of the village attend this so they have to hold it in the town hall.    Their were originally 5 small farm in the town, the farmers decided to band together and create a farming guild (they read about something similar in a book).    There are two factions within the goats. A group of young male goats are being shunned for pooping on the scratching post.

History

Over 40 years ago, @old cleo watched a brutal slaver murder her two sons because they weren't working fast enough. It was at that point she decided to run away from the @city of Dis. She managed to convince a small group of other Orcs to join her.    When she was little, her Grandmother always used to tell her stories about her family's pre-titan farm. Cleo loved those stories and set out to find the old location of the farm. The world outside of @dis was worst than she could have ever imagined. It took the group months of wondering but eventually, they found it. The whole thing had been destroyed by the void-warped forest. They could still see the outlines of the buildings though. And the well still stood.    They began to build a new village for themselves here. As they were digging they found 7 artifacts of an old, forgotten Orc religion. They used the few stones left of the walls to make pedestals to put the artifacts on. One of these was a holy book. With this book they began to worship the forgotten Orc God, @Hallow. His power protected the village until the artifacts were stolen.

Tourism

The closest thing this town has had to tourism is visits from servants of [deamon mage to try and recruit them to his cause. Or the visit from The Hungry Six trying to help them make peace with the Duragar.    Around 20 years ago an gnomes airship crashed nearby. The village reduced them and helped them rebuild their ship. Now once a month at least they are visited by friendly gnome pirates who trade with them and deliver things from gnomes society like books, clothes, and musical instruments.

Architecture

The majority of the houses are built from wood and earth. There is very little stone around the village, the little that there is has been used to make the 7 stone pedestals for the village's artifacts.    A large wooden fence surrounds the village, it blends well into the surrounding forest and is hard to spot unless you know what you're looking for. All the buildings are shorter than the fence.    The key buildings are:    @The Town Hall    @Old Cleo's House    @The Pedestals    The Goat Pastures - in a circle around the inside of the village there is a ring of grassy pastures where the Orc's rear their beloved goats. They have 20 of them in total.    The Well - this well draws water from an underdark lake directly below the town. It it one of only two stone features in the village.

Geography

The village has carved a clearing in the dense void-warped forest for themselves. On three sides they are completely surrounded by the forest. On the final side, there is a path wide enough to get a cart through carved out of the forest. This is how they get their goods in and out of the village.    The land that the village is built on is flat. They have dug basements for most of the houses to resemble the caves their ancestors lived in.

Natural Resources

Ogol has a small well that draws water for a lake in the @underdark, directly underneath their village.    They have built the space for themselves out of the overgrown, void-warped forest. They have a lot of chopped wood to hand.
