Tuascirt Anam (Too-wah-shkurt Ah-nahm)

Stretching from the Svarog Mountains to the Veles Mountains, from the North Pole to the northern tip of the Caspian Sea, this land is on the edge of civilization specifically since civilization is not allowed to go there. It is the home of the four Northern Fairy Cities - Gorias, Falias, Finias, and Murias - deep in the heart of Siberia, in the shadow of the Svarog mountains, and an isolated by safe place for Light Elves to raise their children. Humans know that crossing the mountains will either lead to death by yetis or death by frostbite, and while some take climbing to the summit as a spiritual journey to make before death, it is largely perceived as a foolhardy endeavor. The area is known by fair folk as an excellent stockpile of magical minerals, though, and so for them it's like a grand split between a mining town and a tourist attraction. Only the best magical metal comes from here!
At the base of the mountains lie the roots of the great Tree of Life. The fairies are tending to it - that's why the magical world has to be there. It stands in defiance of the shadowy mountains that would otherwise prohibit chlorophyll-based life forms. All trees in the Empyrean lands share roots with it, guaranteeing that magical resources and life itself on Gi'ardi will remain vital. The tree does not look like any one kind of tree - there's needles up on top where the air is thinner and broad leaves near the base, with branches twisting and scrunching up every which way.

Demographics

Hardier land-based fairies mostly live in the cities, while the flooded areas are ideal locations for the sea nymphs. So, we have Slavic, Nordic, and Turkic-based fairy types here, mostly.
