Kentar

Kentar is the capital city of the Tielfing Hegemony, as well as the largest city on Iyass. The city has a large port that serves thousands of ships every day. Kentar is one of the few cities on Iyass that has been fully industrialized. Kentar is infamous for it's high crime and mafia presence, which is only exacerbated by the government's habit of accepting bribes from gangs.

Demographics

Kentar has a signifigant tiefling majority, though neighborhoods of halflings and half orcs dot the city.

Defences

Kentar itself has no substantial defenses against attack short of a constabulary which guards over the town. The constabulary, however, is infamous for it's corruption and will turn the other way to nearly anything for the right price.

Industry & Trade

Kentar is the beating inudstrial heart of Iyass. It's numerous factories produce both military and consumer goods for buyers across Iyass. The cities port is the largest center of civillian trade on Iyass.

Guilds and Factions

Kentar is home to numerous criminal organizations. Most notably the Thorngsong Family led my Jace Thornsong. This mafia is known for operating in drug smuggling, thievery, sapient trafficking, contract killing, and extortion. Other gangs in Kentar include The Golden Knives, The Onyx Brotherhood, and The Nightstalkers.

History

Kentar was originally founded by a group of tiefling sepratists from the Venmaya Trade Guild, Kentar was meant to be a symbol of tielfing superiority over other races. As the city grew and it's leaders became desperate for money, they cast asside the vanir of racial pride in favor for courting corporations and any organization with coin to blow by stripping away regulations and loosening law enforcement.

Tourism

A popular landmark for tourists to visit is King's Row, a street that leads to the capital building that is lined with shops, inns and brothels.

Architecture

Kentar is famous for it's clashing classical gothic and industrial architectural styles.

Geography

Kentar is located on a peninsula and is subject to mild summers but brutal winters. Tyhpoons strike the city once or twice a year, usually causing minor damage and disruption.
