Dogs

Water Whelp: Descendants of junkyard dogs, evolved to guard and swim. Muscular, floppy eared, short water-resistant coat, webbed toes, very intelligent. They learn easily, and love their people unconditionally.
Gazehounds: Lean, fast, large-eared sight-hounds, often in packs. They have four eyes. Not super bright, but incredibly loyal, and can run at incredible speeds. They have great vision. Used for chasing after quick animals, and as companions due to their loyalty.
Forest Pointer: Long jowls, long ears, large nose to the ground. Long legs, short choppy barks. They point when they see or hear an animal, stalk closer, then will chase it until the animal is cornered. Used by hunters; not intended for layperson possession, but that doesn't stop people.
Burrow Tyke: Long back, short legs, sandy colored, wiry hair, floppy ears, long snout, round face. Very VERY yappy, very VERY scrappy. Used as pest control, watchdogs, and companions.
