Doctor
Doctors are even more closely guarded in the post-apocalyptic world than academics, and it’s not unheard of for survivors in one settlement or nomadic band to raid another for the sole purpose of stealing away a doctor. Communities demand that medical experts carefully pass on their skills to successors in the society, and old medical texts are more valuable than gold. A character with this starting occupation has received specific training in the field at the side of an older doctor.
A doctor can be a physician (general practitioner or specialist), a surgeon, or a psychiatrist.
Prerequisite: Age 25+.
Skills: Choose two of the following skills as permanent class skills. If a skill you select is already a class skill, you receive a +1 competence bonus on checks using that skill.
- Craft (pharmaceutical)
- Computer Use
- Knowledge (behavioral sciences, earth and life sciences, or technology)
- Search
- Treat Injury.
