The generations of power

during the second world war, the first super powered individuals were created through genetic manipulation, first by german scientists and then by the allies after stealing the technice during operation prometheus. the procedure included a special gene, dubbed gene S (or gene ü, for übermench in the original german), later research actually discovered that it causes anomalies in probability in the person's body, causing otherwise impossible changes to their biology, but at the early days it was mostly considered to bring out human potential. with those alterations affecting diffrent people in diffrent ways, the first generation of supremes was brought into existance entirely within the military. the alterations created what would be considered quite limited and weak powers by modern standards, however they turned the tide of war in those days. as the generations passed the transfered powers become more powerfull and varied with each generation.   1st generation. The greatest generation, The originator generation- mostly physical powers such as limited speed endurance and strength, with very rare and limited elemental/energy control powers. exclusively soldiers created by either the axis and allies in WW2 or by other individuals or companies in diffrent situations. (born 1910s-1920s)   2nd generation The silenced generation- physical powers on an increased level, basic elemental/energy control more prevelant. mostly born to the veterans of WW2, these were the first civilians with powers, and while most of them were under supervision, at least in their early days, as part of millitary famillies, the spread of powers out of goverment control began here. a large precentage of this generation were carriers of the S anomalous gene (responsible for the probability shifting that cause most powers) and thus were not as closely followed, since it was unkown at the time that that was possible. (some of the people counted with the 2nd generation are technically 1st generation in the way that they were simply younger test subject, but their general lives within the military were simillar to the silenced genertaion) (born 1920s-1940s)   3rd generation The power boom generation - elemental/energy and psionics become common, and power levels increase all across. a generation born into the strife of the cold war, seen at times as assets this generation is the one that starts to look to define itself and struggles with their identity as simply tools. with that and their spread out of goverment's control this is where the supreme start spreading into the world, with the first famillies in the USSR, the middle east and eastern countries, as well as truly civilian supremes, the power was out of the goverment's hands now. (1930s-1950s)   4th generation The liberation generation- the first radically diffrent powers emerge, visible permenant mutations as well as an extreme variety of physical and energetic powers give this generation a colorfull variety of endless possibility born at the peak of the liberation era this generation is the first to let their individuality come out through their power. at this point powers are beyond any goverment's control, and all but the most dictatorial have adapted to their globality. thus powers begin to be normalized in the post war world, as well as major shake ups occuring during their formative years such as the return of camelot and the first contact. this generation is defined by openness and exploration of their powers and their place in the world. (1950s-1970s)   5th generation Generation S- the modern generation their powers while no longer the only source in the world are the pinnacle of inherited power so far. they range beyond the imagination and their capabilities are extensive. these are the heroes and villians of today. These are the people who shape the modern world, with powers becominhg an everyday occurance (around 30% of the population) the world can not ignore them as part of everyday civilian global life (born 1970s-1990s)   6th generation the generation of wonders- only begining to come onto their own, young fresh minds born into the modern era, these are the powers of tomorrow. who knows what their future may bring? with villians and heroes becoming more varied then ever and more central to the increasingly global pop culture they truely take center stage in this brave new world. (born 1990s-2010s)
