Central Equator

The very straight-forwardly named Central Equator is a landlocked country on the continent Eris, placed solidly on the equator of the planet. It's not a very pleasant place. Despite that, there are a handful of bustling towns due to it's position as a prime mining spot for firestone. Central Equator, thanks to it's position, is one of the least cold countries on the planet... Although, that doesn't really make it warm. It just means it gets cold slush instead of snow for half of the year, and even rain in the summer.

Geography

Central Equator is mostly made up of rocky tundras, with the occasional huge rock spire, cluster of spires, or frozen lake. There's a mountain range on the eastern edge of the country that can be seen up to halfway across the country, provided no towns, trees or rocky spikes are blocking the line of sight.

Fauna & Flora

Central Equator's flora and fauna distribution is strange. Asides from 20 different types of indistinguishable scrub plants and the handful of burrowing animals that nobody ever really sees unless they're digging up their burrows, there's only a few things unique to the area. Central Equator is home to the Crimson Bristle and Frostwick trees, and the Aum's Sun, Wolftooth and Blooddrop flowers, when it comes to plants. Among the animals living there are the Thin-striped Bear, the Shaggy Wolf, and the Bristle Deer (who feed on Crimson Bristle trees). There's also the Ghost Moose, which lives in the valleys of the mountain range, and only leaves during snowstorms. It's a bit of a cryptid there, as its pale colour means that in the snow nobody can really see it (hence the name)
