Devas

O ye eleven entities whose home is heaven, O ye eleven who make earth your dwelling, Ye who with might, eleven, live in waters, accept this sacrifice from the fire, which was yer oldest ancestor, O creatures, with pleasure.
They are the four Elementals, Guardiand of the Cardinal Points. Most of them can take human form, but they are as far from humanity as any being can possibly be. They are eternal entities, some even immortal, and live with Gea itself, coming into being with her and dying at her side, too. It is said they can be killed by strong magic, but nobody ever suceeded in it so it may be a legend, though even in that case their spirit would simply reincarnate, for they can not cease to exist as long as Gea lives. Dragons are the only exeption to this since they are older that even Gea, and thus are bound by different rules.

History

In the beginning there was Chaos...   Before everything, there had always been Chaos, in its most essential form: Fire. It was not Fire as we know it, it was un limited, fathomless fire, boundless in its freedom and eternal in its evervchangin existance. In the fire there was life and death and destruction and creation, and among all of this creatures of the most unthinkable forms. Slytherin through the flames were what we now know as Dragons, the most beutiful and poverful personification of the Ancestral Fire.   As its nature dictated the Dragons wanted to create, and create it did: they made another being, different from them, different from the fire and the chaos and the eternity, because they wanted to make something new, but the new being could not survive in the ever hungry fire, so it died as soon as it came into existance. THe energy was still there, though, that's how strong the Dragon's desire was for it to be, and they created a place within the fire, where chaos still existed, but made room for something else, too. There was a price, though, for this place they created, and in place of the chaos that was removed, somthing else came to fill the void: Order. It was in this new place that the Dragons created, where Chaos and Ordere existed in a eternal fight for balance that Gea came into existance.   Order put some rules to the Chaos, for in that place nothing was everlasting, nothing was immortal, nothing was always changing and never still. Of course there was change, there was life and everything Chaos was, but now it always came to an end. Weirdly enough, the new creature the Dragons had created became also a servant to Order, even if their spirit remained forged in Chaos. They became the Raven, incarnation of Death.   When the Dragons tried to create life once again, it was instantly destroyed by death, creating a instantaneous and unstoppble circle of life and death. The Raven and the Dragons were frustated with this inesorable cicle, and wove together their energies to create an anchor, something that could stall the circle, even for a short while. Another creature came from their union, a black tortoise, the incarnation of Life and Longevity.   The three of entities gave a phisical form to the place they had created, a place where the Toirtoise could anchor life: Gea. When all of this was done and the circle of life and death was stabilized, they found life was beginning to grow on its own, wild and untamable just ad the chaos within the Dragons, but mortal as per the Raven's rules, though resiliant and stable enough evolve and spread.   Permeating in every single cell of this new world, this new universe they had created, there was the original energy of Chaos and Fire from the Dragon's powers, but as it all took form this energy changed, too. It became different, tangible and subordinate in a some ways to Orders, though not much. This energy is Seiðr and from it fecundating Gea, it created a white tiger, the first of all sentients begins, different from the other three Ancestors for it was made of Seiðr and represented the Wild and the Untamable, the force of life and magic and earth. The Tigers stood above all other life forms as a protector, but also as a predator, incarnating the duality of Seiðr itself, of Chaos and Order.
