Prehistoric Life

sort by Clade? Phylum? Biome? Who knows.   Therizinosaur
Very large, very fluffy, very powerful. Roughly ~33 feet tall (10 meters), 3k-5k kgs. Lifespan is roughly 60-70 years. Notably well-developed senses of smell, hearing, and balance. Capable of complex social behavior. Colonial nesting style; multiple egg nests in one location. Nestlings capable of movements immediately after birth. Likely nomadic. Giant knife hands used for grasping foliage to munch; unlikely to be used for digging or offense. Perhaps more?? Found in wet, swampy, and/or highly wooded locations featuring large rivers. Occasionally found in oasis-like formations found in deserts.   Rereshrike
The collective term for a large variety of small, brightly colored raptors located throughout the world. Live for 20 years in the wild, roughly 30 years in captivity. Larger varieties of raptors exist and have a slightly different name. These live for 30 years in the wild and 40 years in captivity.     Huayangosaurus
A quadrupedal herbivore with a distinctive double row of bony plates starting on its neck and tapering off into a spiked tail as they continue down the back. Approximately 14 feet long (4.5 meters). Found in tropical-subtropical, semi-arid and semi-humid climatic regions. Herbivorous.     Quetzalcoatlus
A massive pterosaur measuring at least 6-10ft high at the shoulder with a wingspan measuring between 30 to 70ft. Rare, but most often found inland around semi-arid plans - though some seem to be diversifying, leading to sightings in otherwise unusual locations. Terrestrial stalkers. Theoretically capable of being domesticated and ridden, but thus far this has only been accomplished with divine assistance.   ---   Spinosaurus
A genus of incredibly large semiaquatic theropods measuring from 49 to 52 ft long and weighing a massive 7 metric tons. Claws! Sail! Excellent at tail slaps. Comes in many fun colors. Found largely in tropical and subtropical mangrove forests on tidal flats. Carnivorous.   Macrauchenia
A large litoptern averaging about 5ft tall at the shoulder and roughly 10ft in length. Diet largely includes foliage and grasses. Notable for their unusually high mobility and ability to rapidly change direction even while running at high speeds. Found in warm semi-arid and semi-humid climates.   Ptychopariida, Wiwaxi, Anomalocaris, Opabina, Hallucigenia
Ocean.........   Helicoprion
Also ocean, but shark.   Anurognathus
A small, fuzzy pterosaur found most often at twilight. Rapidly progresses from birth to leaving the nest. Teeny needle-like teeth: insectivorous. Looks like a friend.   Diplocaulus Boomerang salamanders! A number of different species exist. Found in rivers, streams, and swamps.   Carnufex
A unique crcodylomorph measuring at least 10ft long and 5ft tall. Imagine a crocodile that stands on two legs and you'll be almost there. Carnivorous. Found in tropical rivers.   Oviraptor Roughly 5ft long (including the tail). Found in semi-arid climates, deserts. Eats bird things; small vertebrates, bugs, etc. Pygostyle mating displays?   Phase 2: Spinosaurus, Macrauchenia, Trilobites (order Ptychopariida), Wiwaxia, Anomalocaris, Opabina, Hallucigenia, Helicoprion, Drepanosaurus, Anurognathus, Diplocaulus, Carnufex, and Oviraptor
