Vaugmenton Technocracy
While wealth may get you in the door in Vaugmentonian society, without any self-engineered gadgets or formal attestation, it often means little to most. A culture that has largely been moving away from deeper spiritual and conceptual ideas, has been replaced with scientific or technological innovations. Most Vaugmentonians are cybernetic, and often flaunt their cyborg-like enhancements. With hard labor replaced with a strong and advancing robotic population, this leaves much room for citizens to pursue academic careers around science and technology. For those who are unable to catch up or keep up with the academic knowledge or technological know-how of Vaugmentionian society, find the rapidly shrinking labor force due to machines worrisome.
Culture
The Techno-Elite - Reserved for those who are able to reach the top of the most prestigious schools. While often these schools are filled with students from more wealthier families, often those who end up at the top are able to do so by their merits. Academia often provides much support for those who can succeed from their merits that background is largely irrelevant, allowing students from even disproportionate families to compete with the top-brass students.
The Disproportionate - A status reserved to those who are not able to keep up with the advancement of society around them. Often they are working jobs which are irreproachable by machines, yet low-paying and with little benefits. The disparity between those who can maintain status in society and those who cannot has slowly been increasing as the years go by.
