Reverses
Reverses are one of the species created by Command AI to settle continent of Menoria, created in the ancient times that are now mostly mythical, with little known about what exactly happened during their prehistory. With even Command AI participation long forgotten.
Reverses suffered a lot during the Menorian Wars, when they were often seen as 'those evil'. They participated in the war together with Mirrorlings and Meduses, seen as a sort of Axis of Evil by the other species. This was caused by how 'alien' reverses were.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Reverses at first sight are humans. They are humanoids of identical height and width, have absolutely typical colouristic of hair and skin (though here they tend to go towards being pale, due to their lifestyle). What's really different are their eyes. Their sclera are black, and their pupils are white.
This difference is merely the one most visible one.
Genetics and Reproduction
Typical for human (9 months long, average chance for multiple pregnancies), but only with another reverse. They cannot have children with humans or their subspecis, which is the only fact that stops them from being counted as another subspecies of Mankind.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Their eyes are massively different than human ones. They are also heavily magical. Not only they are resistant to normal illusions, but they also make reverses see better in night than in day. The darker it is, the better reverses see. Needless to say their perception of colour is vastly different than ours, to the point of having completely different set of colours they can perceive.
This also changed their perception of light and dark, with most reverses considering black magic this 'better' one, and with lunar cults much more widespread than solar cults (and typically reversed when it comes to the perception of who is 'better').
Civilization and Culture
Gender Ideals
Curiously, their 'reverse' part goes quite far even in terms of their society, as reverses started as a matriarchy. Most of their civilization remained liked that until now, though it is a system that seems to be slowly collapsing due to cultural pressure from the outside. If it wasn't Lana - where there are several matriarchy-based civilizations, especially of lamias and varcubi - it would already fell. There, it still holds.
