Leaves Magic

Leaves Magic, also called a Way of Leaves, is a magic that manipulates plantlife, causing its instant growth and allowing the magicians to control it. It has many combat uses, although in most cases defensive or support ones rather than directly offensive. Most of the offensive part works by using roots and branches.
It also has certain agricultural uses, though it requires moderation. While a proficient magician could cause a whole field of wheat to instantly be ready for harvest, it would also mean depleting the ground of all nutrients, making the whole afflicted areas into deserts. Imperium slowly experiments with magic-enhanced agriculture, that uses smaller doses of leaves magic, while simultaneously using magical fertilizers to restore the lost nutrients, but it's still a long time until this will spread.
