Air Elemental

Average Air Elemental, strong enough to manifest itself in the wild without the help of a summoner. According to current knowledge, they originate - as all elementals - in the beliefs of the human tribes that invaded Karadia a thousand years before the ascend of Imperium of Karadia, despite this they quickly found their own niche and are often connected to the local nymphs.   While they are considered wild daemons, there are in fact very close to being a servile daemons under Pantheon of Elements. It is hard to say where one nature ends and second begin.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Immaterial and essentially invisible. They are literally sentient wind in a more or less humanoid shape, detectable only by things that it swallows (for example leaves and dust).

Biological Traits

Under closer examination two main subtypes of air elementals can be differentiated. First (under VERY close examination) has body proportioned to look similar to males, while the latter to females. Obviously this aren't genders, as elementals are essentially asexual. Current theory suggests that those faintly male looking are elementals 'created' by human cultures, while the faintly female looking hail from elven cultures.   Both versions are normally peaceful and ignore humans. When attacked (or driven malevolent by evil magic under imprint of evil beings or in magical anomalies) they attack with air magic. Even then they aren't particularly dangerous, at best being an irritant for adventurers.

Ecology and Habitats

Air. The more extreme winds, the better they feel. Their exact number can't even be guessed, since majority of them inhabits higher parts of the atmosphere. Only few descends lower.

Very basic, almost without any intelligence at all. It doesn't even have sentience, being essentially animal-like.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

It is unknown how exactly they see, it is speculated that they literally 'feel' air, detecting movement and overall shape of objects. After made hostile, they can be fooled by pretending to be an immovable object.
