Ardent Flame

Personal army of Honour, the Exarch of Authority, the absolute sovereign of the Creation and the highmost god of the Imperial Cult. It is the rarest seen of all the Exarchs’ armies, by the virtue of being the strongest. Too strong, in fact. The Ardent Flame is typically focused on fighting the armies of the Hierarchs within the Radiant Worlds. Occasionally they come down to the Spiritual Worlds in order to change some Hierarchs’ strongholds into a burning ruin. Coming all the way down to the Material Worlds is typically beneath their dignity, pay grade and actual level of ability.   The forces of the Ardent Flame are simply too strong for the Material Worlds - their equivalents of elites would wipe the floor with everything encounterable in that world, but would also cause wide-scale damages simply by being there. As a result, only the line troops of the Flame sometimes show up in the Material Worlds. However, when they actually do show up, it's a sight to behold. A single soldier of the Flame is capable of singlehandedly slaughtering entire squads of enemies. Rarely more than a few show up, but when they do, the resulting carnage is nothing short of inspirational.   The only things that can draw the servants of Honour to the Material Worlds are a truly overwhelming assault of the dark gods on the Grand Empire - one that will cause a major military and societal disaster if not stopped - or a truly astounding act of honour, one with your own life on the line. As a result of the latter, they sometimes appear out of nowhere to assist in various last stands (for as long as the reason for them is sufficiently honourable).   Forces of Honour tend to have a handful of common factors. First is certainly a presence of fire, typically one with its colour heavily tinted towards white. Those flames are special ones, as they cause a lot of damage to every evil supernatural entity in the vicinity, while simultaneously weakening the magic connected to evil deities. What’s more, they draw everyone in. When the flame of Honour arrives on the battlefield, fleeing it requires more willpower than staying on it. What makes it even more terrifying, the spirits burned to ‘death’ by those flames suffer actual, permanent damage and can even be thoroughly and permanently annihilated.   The second common factor of many of the Honour’s troops is some draconic influences, however these are mostly visible among the higher ranked servants (so, almost never in the Material Worlds).

Military

Legions of the Sacred Flame - Flame legionnaires are the most common troops of the Ardent Flame, and in a way helped shape the way the populace imagines servants of Honour. They are what passes for the Ardent Flame grunts. They are still capable of massacring the armies of the Fallen even when outnumbered 10:1. And that’s for the regular legionnaires, who, as it was said, are practically line troopers in the grander scheme of things.   The slightly rarer (and way stronger) knights of sacred flame are even more devastating on the battlefield. They are capable of single-handedly slaughtering small armies (provided that they are actually evil, as otherwise the Sacred Flame warriors will just bid the summoner goodbye and go home).   It is believed that the Legion’s warriors are recruited from the truly outstanding Dead from all the Material Worlds. It’s hard to say what kind of acts are necessary to warrant recruitment into the Legion, as its members are rarely very talkative and quickly return to the Radiant Worlds when the battle is over - after all, they have their own battles to be won.

Religion

The one and only high god of the Ardent Flame is Honor, the Exarch of Authority, the chief deity of the Imperial Cult and a high god of honour, legal authority and the Grand Empire of Karadia itself.
