Humans of Elysium are a minority within Valessia, though they have always played a role in its history.

Civilization and Culture

History

Humans come from the kingdom Elysium north of Great Oghan. They first came into contact with dwarves with whom they traded. Eventually dwarves led human settlers and explorers through their tunnels into Valessia where they met quarterlings. Soon after, two cities, Ruiin and Hearth, were founded, and the Dwarf-Human-Quarterling Alliance was formed.

Humans of Valessia communicate very little with humans of Elysium, and a whole generation of migrants made a new life separate from their homelands in Valessia. During and after the Thaumic War they always stayed loyal to their first allies.
