Garden of Eden

Day 27 | 2nd Spring Moon | Year X995

Created by

Tall, commanding trees of three sheltered the world beneath their vast intersecting canopies and formed an umbrella of leaves. They were the forefathers of creation, the nurturers of life, the Big Three.
They were Continental Trees, governors of Eden and her garden.

The North is conquered by Yggdrasil, the tallest and oldest of the three. Its trunk of signature ash and silver is a grand display of height as it dominates its siblings' in their reach towards the Heavens. Its leaves are a snowy white with a sprinkling of sparse evergreen and rouge. They are curled at their tips and wein with intricate coils and fae-dust. It governs the Magic of Eden; its crest is a Faery.

To the East sits the golden splendour of Fu Sang, the leafless yet abundantly fruitful Continental Tree. It is wily in its stance, twisting and curving in a mix of gold and rosewood bark as it paints rivers and streams along its crevices. Peaches monopolise its distinguished thin branches that coils and entangles into a giant nest, forming the Tree's magnificent crown. Decorative scales of radiant origins are pinched within its messy organisation, reflecting the eternal sunrise and sunset of the world. It governs the Wealth of Eden; its crest is a Dragon.

Across, to the West, lies the ever-sleeping Zaratan - the dormant, giant turtle with an equally giant mushroom deeply rooted on and around its shell. It is the nomadic sibling of the three Trees - the mobile continent of moss, seaweed, fungi and swamps. Its slumbering shifts induces partial submergence into the Undergrowth waters; its body temperatures brings about seasonal change that are often drastic in their range of appearances. It governs the Power of Eden; its crest is an Orc.

In the middle of them all is the Hesperides Orchard, the thriving central Capital of Eden that floats above the Undergrowth Sea. It is a touristic and pious country, devoted to the Archbishop of Eden. It is said to be of size comparable to Yggdrasil's Branches and with a population as great as Fu Sang's Trunk. It is the go-to destination for aspiring travelers and adventurers and the hometown for many clerical men and women. It governs the Balance of Eden; its crest is a trefoil knot.
