In the current Age, the whole of the world falls under the Council of Three’s rule -- three gods that walk amongst all races and claimed them as their own:  

• Creation -- She That is The Dawn
• The Sun -- She That is The Day
• Death -- She That is The Dusk

  They rule through their Priests and Seraphim, with a holy creature installed as the High Ruler of each nation, but do little directly themselves, unless necessary. Some claim the Rulers are minor gods themselves, while others claim the names are actually titles, and are inherited when the elder dies. Each race has various nations over the different continents, with various traditions and customs. The only constants between them are the Temples of the Sun, and the slavery of Dragonborn.   The story begins in the coastal city of Marza, on the southern coast of the continent of Kelestra -- the main and holiest of land masses. It is also one of the biggest trading centers of the known world, where all races, backgrounds, and motivations come to barter and find fortune. Its ruler, The Cardian, is said to be a god of commerce and the sea. She is rumored to be favored to rule all of Kelestra, making her second only to The Three. While Marza is not the capital, it is argued that is the most influential of all cities, perhaps even more so that the Holy City, the Capital, Diasian.
