Vampire Squashes

"They're just really annoying." - Everyone who ever encountered Vampire Squashes

Vampire Squashes are both phenomena and creatures - it is when a squash plant such as pumpkins turn into blood-craving creatures known as vampires. While this phenomenon is not uncommon, it's unlikely you will encounter one as their survival rate is incredibly low. This is because after their vampirification, Vampire Squashes are still physically the squash they were before so lack the capability to consume any blood at all. With this, they either die of starvation from lack of blood, easily get killed by other creatures, or accidentally kill themselves such as by rolling off certain heights.

Should you encounter a Vampire Squash, do not fear as it cannot hurt you. Their attacks consists of rolling up on you repeatedly, perhaps try to roll over your digits or other body parts if they are clever. You may outrun or outwalk them, but they are very persistent hunters and will stalk you and attack you as long as they can. The following are options to rid it: boil it or break it.

As you might have guessed, nobody takes Vampire Squashes very seriously as such.

Another report from a Rusalka claims that he saw the Vampire Squashes attempting to roll on top of one another to build a tower, possibly to use height in hopes to hurt the Rusalka. However the squash at the very bottom supporting other squashes caved in from the weight and squashed, causing the tower of Vampire Squashes to fall. Again, there is no proof or other witnesses for this case as the Rusalka smashed them, killing them.
