Gallipae

Created by

Gallipae (the name): Named by the Grand God, Klamaz, Gallipae means “Place of Angels” in Godspeak, the language of the divine. It is so called because in the very beginning of The Forgotten World a whole civilization of immensely powerful angels lived alone, and in peace, upon what was later to become the mortal plane. In total there were 5 "worlds" within the history of Gallipae.   I will be focusing on two of these worlds in my posts. They are as follows:   The Forgotten World is truly the very beginning. It was during this time that the Grand God, Klamaz, brought into existence by The Creator, created Gallipae, the other gods, and a group of angels blessed with divine grace. Until the year 3,067 Godly Age (GA), Gallipae was occupied solely by these angels. After a while dragons started showing up in great numbers. Some attribute the births of the many dragons purely to the union of Bahumut and Tiamat while others say they were due to the affairs between many of the angels and deities. No matter their origins, it is agreed upon that the dragons were tolerated until the dragon, Yixdurtatni, created the first pure-blooded “lesser races” (dracos, elves, and gnomes). The creation of gnomes was the last straw, and many angels either left the Mortal Plane or tried to conquer the Godly Heavens. This generally ended in banishment to the new plane called Hell, or being trapped in a powerful magic item. After roughly 17 centuries of what was known as the Conflict Age (CA), the last of the angels left voluntarily, and the Mortal Era (ME) began. It was at the end of this age that The Wraith showed up. In life, he was the first Ascended Human, but in death, he turned into something truly horrific. He was not actually a wraith. What he really was is something that baffles even the wisest of scholars. Whatever he was, for milenia the undead scourge terrorized civilization and through horrible rituals turned his victims into an undead horde. Finally the chaos erupted into a huge battle that included nearly every being capable of fighting. The battle lasted nearly a year with billions of fatalities. In the final moments of the Forgotten World, The Wraith dropped to a kneeling position and sent forth a blast of fire, centered on him. The flames killed nearly everyone on Gallipae including The Wraith’s younger brother. His brother's body was seen being pulled down to the abyss by the entity of death. However, little attention was paid to this as the planet ripped into one million pieces. There were only a handful of survivors and The Wraith was never seen again. Gallipae before the split is referred to as the Forgotten World because few people know of its existence and even fewer know any details of what it was like.   After the end of the Forgotten World, when Gallipae was split, most of the pieces shot out into space. However, one chunk of planet, the largest piece, stayed in its normal orbit. It was this "planet" that was reshaped and repopulated by Klamaz to become The First World. This time, to keep a balance of power between good and evil, in hopes of not repeating the end of the Forgotten World, Klamaz ordered his sons, The Peasant of Death, The Peasant of Healing, The Peasant of Nature, and The Peasant of Strength, and the Peasant of War, to start The Council of Power. Unfortunately, The Council of Power was corrupted for most of its history (by either good or evil). This created turmoil, and the turmoil, in turn, created heroes for both good and evil. Among the heroes that rose up during this 18 billion year period were Hans the Great, Kakatheren, Rashnae, Mooch, Jaxal, Raynah, Jars, Kaldon, Alanzas, Yithrey, The Time Master, Atvoreth, Frunk, Flea, Rudu, The Lord of the Dead, Inferno, Darsh, Gogga'at, Lagg, and The Grandmother Witch. It was also during this time that the Torture Orcs stole teallium from the gods (the only metal that cannot melt). This world ended with the natural changing of the landscape and evolution of its inhabitants.
