Goliath

Descended from the blood of giants, goliaths are a proud and powerful species. Goliaths vary depending on their ancestry, but all have a deep-rooted cultural need for honor, power, worth, and self-sufficiency. They live mostly in the mountains and plains, typically in tribes, but are also known to settle among other humanoids.   Among tribes, any adult who can’t contribute to the tribe is expelled. A lone goliath has little chance of survival, especially an older or weaker one. Goliaths have little pity for adults who can’t take care of themselves, though a sick or injured individual is treated, as a result of the goliath concept of fair play.   A permanently injured goliath is still expected to pull his or her weight in the tribe. Typically, such a goliath dies attempting to keep up, or the goliath slips away in the night to seek the cold will of fate.   It is custom across subcultures for newborns to have their fortunes read at birth and be tattooed as infants, giving them their distinctive markings for the rest of their lives. These tattoos will look quite different between goliath ancestries. For example, those descended from stone giants cover a large portion of their bodies with tattoos, while those descended from cloud giants will typically only tattoo one part of the body that is often covered. Traditionally, goliaths will shave any hair that would otherwise cover these tattoos.

Subraces

Hill Giant Blood

Hill goliaths are sometimes referred to in giant as Hausoven (hill sleepers) due to their tendency to doze off atop whatever hill they might find themselves on. They are prone to fits of violent destruction, especially when they realize someone has tried to decieve them or make a fool of them. They have fair, dusty skin and are typically the most rotund of the goliaths.
Relentless Endurance
When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. You can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
Strong Stomach
You have advantage on saving throws against ingested poison and diseases, and have resistance to poison damage.

Stone Giant Blood

The Steinhjerten (stone hearts) are goliaths that derive their blood from stone giants. Stone goliaths are remarkable tough, able to take serious beatings, and are well adapted to life in harsh environments. Stone goliaths' sense of fairness, balanced with an emphasis on self-sufficiency and personal accountability, pushes them toward neutrality.   These goliaths practice runic engraving and magic more than the other goliaths, and also use carved stones to interpret dreams. They have pale grey skin and grow black hair, but traditionally shave their heads bald.
Stone's Endurance
You can focus yourself to occasionally shrug off injury. When you take damage, you can use your reaction to roll a d12. Add your Constitution modifier to the number rolled, and reduce the damage by that total. After you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Mountain Born
You’re acclimated to high altitude, including elevations above 20,000 feet and cold weather. Also when not wearing armor, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier.

Fire Giant Blood

The fire goliath, are members of the Ildblud (fire blood). They find comfort by the heat of a forge, or other warm environments. Fire giants are known to be militaristic, and their distant goliath descendants are not too dissimilar in their love of warfare. Formal training and strict hierarchy are paramount in fire goliath culture. They have darker grey skin, and grow black or red hair.   These goliaths also have a rich tradition of storytelling through singing tales of great deeds and battles past.
Legacy of War
You learn a single maneuver of your choice from among those available to the Fighter class. In addition, you gain one Superiority Die, which is a d6 (unless you are a fighter, in which case it is the same size as your superiority die). This die is used to fuel your maneuvers. A superiority die is expended when you use it. You regain your expended superiority dice when you finish a short or long rest.   If a maneuver you use requires your target to make a saving throw to resist the maneuver's effects, the saving throw DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice).
Flame Born
You have resistance to fire damage. You’re also naturally adapted to hot climates.

Frost Giant Blood

Frost goliaths are known as Isekriggen (ice warriors) in their native tongue. They are fierce and hardy in battle, and take great pride in their scars and any grisly trophies taken along the way, such as the skulls of their foes.   Frost goliaths respect brute strength above all, and as such, routine challenges for leadership are a regular part of their culture as they wrestle to assert their dominance. They have pale blueish-grey skin and grow grey or white hair and beards.
Savage Attacks
When you score a critical hit with a weapon attack, you can roll one of the weapon’s damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit.
Ice Born
You have resistance to cold damage. You’re also naturally adapted to cold climates.

Cloud Giant Blood

A cloud goliath is sometimes referred to as a Narrskye (near sky) in giant; a reference to their preferred distance from other creatures, as well as their reputation for paying little heed to the plights of the world. They are the most reclusive of all goliaths.   Cloud goliaths have an innate attunement to the magic of their forefathers' airy domain. Many even follow the ancient cloud giant diety, Memnor, renowned by the good for his foresight and eloquent speech, and simultaneously praised by the evil who emulate his arrogance and vainglory. They have soft light grey skin, and grow light colored hair. These goliaths may also have extended, pointed canine teeth, taking after some of their giant ancestors, but (most) are not vampiric in nature.
Atmospheric Affinity
You know the Gust cantrip, and can cast Fog Cloud once per day
Gentle Descent
You take half damage from falling.

Storm Giant Blood

Goliaths with storm giant ancestry are called Tuvaren (storm thieves) in giant, an allusion to some giants' belief that storm giants were too proud to willingly create lesser, humanoid offspring and too powerful to be forced to. These giants believe the storm giants were magically subdued, and had their blood stolen.   Storm goliaths typically prefer a life of isolation where they can contemplate the events of the world. Even so, their rich history of prophecies and omens drives some to a life of adventure, seeking out truth, and justice. They have grey skin tones, sometimes with hints of green or blue, and grow black or white hair and impressive beards.
Prophetic Sight
Glimpses of the future begin to press in on your awareness. When you finish a short or long rest, roll a d20 and record the number rolled. You can replace any attack roll, saving throw, or ability check made by you or a creature that you can see with this foretelling roll. You must choose to do so before the roll.
Storm Born
You have resistance to lightning and thunder damage.
