Drogcovii, The Home of the Dragon

Demographics

Redrgao as an empire has been noted as extremly diverse due to their expantionist era, and boasts both the largest land held and demographics accounted for. Its capital of Dragcovii reflexes similar stances.
Though primarily populated by those of Caucison, Erinite, or Coloicatic descent - those who originally populated the area - there are large demographics of Sheesawn, Romati, and Sunit tradesmen and their families, along with Hallsttain and Kinnson workers. The Sunit power elite commonly have homes here, along with the Inyx lords of trade. There are small pockets Negarian and Aneosi populations, though they are commonly Ambassadors for their people and not immigrants.
There is also a large mix-racial population, primarily in the Third and Fourth Districts, or the Ravii and Brocvii Districts. It is more common to see those of mixed or otherly defined races among the large working classes.
On classes - there are five primary 'classes' of businessmen in the city. Workers or Tradless Workers are the lowest, generally factory, railroad, or construction, or other non-detailed work. Tradesmen are higher, crafts-people who are employed by numerous businesses and fields. The Business class has authority of the primary wealth and economy of the city, the new money of new minds. The Elite (or Authoritive Class) is from old money and traditions, and has produced the thinkers of the political sense. The Royal class is a distinct if not small class of those related directly or indirectly to the ruling family.

Government

A Constitutional Monarchy rules this city and the empire. The ruling family is of the namesake of the empire - Redrago - with a constitution established approximately 40 years ago.
The Constitution detailed a tri-branch legislature; one with three appointed representative from each province of the empire, a branch determined by population densities within each province, and a third that has four representatives - two appointed, two voted for - from each major city. The constitution also details the justice system, from the powers granted to the courts and to the police force. It also restricts the powers the king or queen can hold at any given time.

Defences

Its an island. That's its primary defense. The bridges that do span to the mainland can be drowned at a moments notice.

Industry & Trade

The University of Redrago is one of the most dutiful employers in the city, and is the center of knowledge and teaching for the empire and for foreign relations. The University teaches a variety of subjects, from the arts - such as historical, linguistical, and expressive studies - to law to the sciences. They not only teach in the scientific fields of Sociology, Chemistry, Biology, and the like, but they are also a pioneering school in the teachings of Alchemy. As a university, they also fund schooling for the poorer districts of the city in the basic subjects, and charter and trade schools for Languages, Metal-works, and Alchemy. Teachers, groundskeepers, utilities and staff members are commonly employees from the alumni or city citizens, unless they are for a specific trade or teaching.     The Capital also produces a large amount of printed information, from speeches to novels, which has earned the city one of he highest literacy rates in the known world. They also have an extensive communications, shipping, and trade centers.

Infrastructure

As an island city, wide walkways are paired with detailed cannels, flowing through the city. The cannels are used as widely as the roads themselves for transport, between the two anywhere is reachable. The sole natural land is by the Royal Estate and the city park, everywhere else has been built upon or expanded by with stone and brick. Bridges are detailed with significant stories or fables of the town, buildings arch high and squat low.
The north side - Districts 1 and 2 (Inivii and Deuvii) - holds the sprawling grounds of the elite and the Royal Palace, and the political buildings and offices. Clockwise, the 3rd and 4th Districts are the manufacturing and warehouse districts, and also hold common residentiary for their workers. District 5 - Fovii - is the shipyard and, consequently, the tourist, gambling and brothel district. District 6 - Rosvii - is a residentiary district. The 7th and Central District is also called the Library District, due to holding the largest recorded library in the world, the State's records building, the police force's primary building, and the University.

Assets

The capital is full of stores that sell goods manufactured in the city, along with goods imported in.
The University is one of the greatest assets of the Capital, as a center of knowledge and politics.

Architecture

The classic architecture of the city is Roman-Gothic. This style adorns the oldest buildings of the city; the original Castle, the townhouses and the oldest Library building.
The common architecture is generally plain but sturdy, generally weather worn by the sea.
