Berleigh Mountains

The Berleigh Mountains are a vast and imposing range of mountains located east of the Goldwark Lake and west of the Sun Sea. They represent the southeastern border of the Thunderstorm Empire, and are known for their rich deposits of iron and orichalcum.   The Berleigh Mountains are a formidable barrier, with peaks that rise high into the sky. The southern tips of the mountains are covered in snow and ice, while the northern parts are dominated by the mighty Berleigh Volcano. The locals have built a famous shrine in an attempt to calm the volcano's wrath, but its power remains ever-present.   The mountains themselves are made of ash-grey rock, with patches of moss here and there. The terrain is rugged and unforgiving, making it difficult for even the most skilled climbers to navigate. Despite the challenges, however, the mountains are a rich source of iron and orichalcum, and many miners and prospectors make their living by extracting these valuable resources.   In addition to its natural beauty and valuable resources, the Berleigh Mountains are also home to a wide variety of plant and animal life. The mountains are home to many species of hardy animals, including mountain goats and hardy birds of prey. The forests that cover the lower slopes of the mountains are home to deer, bears, and other creatures.
