Gaia Forinia

Mystery. Intrigue. Peril. Adventure. These words are invocative of the realm that we find ourselves in this time and place. Nobody truely knows how things came to be, but one thing is for sure; those that call this realm their home are some of the most powerful beings across the cosmos, the higher and lower planes notwithstanding.   The first main point to note about Gaia Forinia, is that the mundane elements found on other realms, are mostly absent. In particular, humans are extinct due to unknown circumstances. The vegetation is always unique and evolving. Even the simple farm animals have something off about them, such as the fire-breathing chickens of Eastern Delapidus.   The realm of Gaia Forinia is broken down into several continents.   North Forinius is the central continent. Most things that could even be conceivably called mundane, can be found there. The regions that are there are relatively tame, and somewhat welcome to foreign persons.   South Forinius is a very wild place. Most of the land there is covered with vast jungles and even pockets to the FeyWild. Any civilizations that exist there are primitive, and odd beasts, like dinosaurs, wild cats, birds, and even horrific kaiju, roam the wild continent.   Delapidus is the newest and most diverse continent in the realm. The direct result of a new age of discovery, this continent is somewhat unexplored. The races that live there are more towards the adventurous side, and danger is abound, with direct connections to other realms being aplenty there.   Atalantica is the name that refers to the oceans as a whole. Any islands or bodies of land not connected to the main continents are under this name as well. The navies that govern the waters, and the pirates that roam them, are sure to be found after a short while. Most of this continent is a mystery, and those of weak resolve should avoid it at all costs.   The Badlands is the most dangerous continent that is currently inhabited. Almost every creature on that continent has the potential, whether alone or as a group, to completely devastate the entire realm. Most of this continent is covered by deserts, of sand, of obsidian, and even of spider silk. If you are not a well travelled and experienced adventurer, you should not even attempt to undertake the task of exploring this hellish landscape.   Last but not least is the island of Ollzai, last known bastion of the humans. The land there is so dangerous, that no one who has traveled there, has ever escaped alive, making it a large question mark on history.
