Wailer
Mythical Hostile Creature
The wailer is a treacherous, large, frog-like creature that attracts victims by sticking out its tongue above surface which is equipped with an eerily realistic face on the tip. The name wailer was given because of the crying sound it lets out to trick its prey that they are a human about to drown. Once the victim has come to rescue the "drowning human" the wailer jumps out of the water and swallows its prey whole. The wailer will usually hang out in deep water, occasionally nearing more shallow water whenever it feels like feeding. It is a clever creature that is very hard to defeat, but a clever hunter may be able to kill it before it kills them.
