Spirits

Spirits are people who have been trapped between life and the afterlife as a consequence of a traumatic death. When a spirit is made, they have no recollection of their past life. Most spirits strive for finding inner peace, so they can move on to the afterlife. To do so they must regain their memory by finding memory orbs and bringing them to the Well of Lost Memories, where a powerful magic entity resides. Some spirits do not wish to move on to the afterlife and choose to stay in the world either helping people or causing trouble. A spirit walks, talks, and has the same silhouette as the race they were before their passing. However, their skin is made out of a pitch-black smoke and their eyes are nothing more than glowing orbs. For this reason, most spirits choose to cover themselves in long hooded capes and masks to not scare the living. When a spirit dies, they do not do so the same way the living do. Instead, their memories are once again reset, and they have to go begin searching for their memories again.
