Visell's Hybrid Fighting Style: Kuma Form.

Kuma form is a hybrid fighting style that Visell has culminated through her violent adolescence, through street fights, sword fights, training, and discovery of her inherent powers.   The "ill-fitting" base of her fighting style is the unique techniques of her Father's fighting style known as Jaguar Style.

Jaguar Style.

  • Is a two-handed Katana technique. "The Force of the Blow is twice as strong with the double hand grip!"
  • It incorporates fast strikes with an emphasis on aiming for the legs and arms to debilitate your opponents, then striking them down with one, smooth even motion to the neck or chest. The word Jaguar comes from the Indian word Yaguar, meaning “he who kills with one leap.” hens Killing in one smooth motion. Soulman was inspired by how Jaguars actively battled Crocodiles and killed them with one bite to the head.
  • This style is fairly dry, taken from very traditional Japanese styles. What makes it unique is the creativity of the user, the agility of the user, the use of evasion instead of blocking, and the furious quickness of the sword attacks.
  • The user risk injury by trying to evade attack rather than block them, freeing up strength for attacks.
  • The user speed with swinging a blade must be un-matched, Soulman's swing and thrust speed were greatly above-average as long veteran swordsmen. The powerful yet swift two-handed attacks are like the speed of a jaguar's piercing bite. The endurance needed to evade attacks is much like the hulking nature of Jaguars. The jaguar style a wealth of honed precision, patients, dexterity, and durability. This takes a relaxed guard with a lot of core strength.
  • Jaguars are also craft and agile. Soulman often used his environment and around him to aid in securing kills. Leaping of walls, diving behind cars, hiding in the brush, etc.
  • The style incorporates quickly even stabs without a complete stance.

The trouble with that is . . .

  • Visell has the strength and durability but lacks the same degree of agility, dexterity, and patience it takes to fully embody this technique.
  • Some of this trouble comes from the two-handed technique; It can be pretty clunky, she frankly finds it uncomfortable and while one has more control over the sword the tight nature of it impedes her dexterity. For Visell two-handed is slow and cumbersome.
  • She's strong enough with one hand as well. So two-handed is pointless.
  • While jaguar style is supposed to be a graceful display of dodges and strikes, while she's good at dodging, It's not in her nature to dance around, she rather goes straight at it, and Jaguar style isn't built for that. She's much more at home with Blocking and parrying but she incorporates the low, bent stance when losing ground and dodging. Her training with dodging is helpful against stronger opponents.
  • She also incorporates the use of debilitating at short jabs and aiming for the arms and legs. As well as the key goal of one swift, smooth finishing attack, at least when she can; but she more often the not brutalizes her opponents; like mother like daughter.
  • She also takes advantage of her environment when she can in the same way her father does. Improvisation is a big part of the style much like stocking prey; same with selectivity and patience. But again, not her strong suit.

Uncle Mussoman's Rhino Style.

  • While Soulman was instrumental in teaching Visell the basics of fighting and sword techniques it was his brother, Mussoman that really took her skill to the next level.
  • Rhino style incorporated a unique one-handed Semi-Dual wield technique where the sheathing of the sword is utilized as a parrying tool a paramount trademark of the style.
  • Rhino style basic. A wide medium stance. Always attack first, use the sheathe to block sideways slashes, stab as the opponent is open. When losing ground you use a very specific shuffling footwork with a solid guard. While It's another method of patience because you're supposed to wait for a prime opening and stay defensive.
  • The sword also works as a blocking tool. It's much more defensive than Jaguar style.
  • The goal of this style is to trick and overpower the enemy while fully protecting yourself, with the same goal of killing in one smooth stroke.

Mixing styles. Kuma Style PT.1

  • Visell uses Mussoman's method of defense constantly utilizing the sheath of her sword as a blocking device. She uses a low, relaxed guard, with a high stance.
  • Guard: ***The low guard tricks the opponent into going for a direct attack, luring them in then responding with a full guard at the right moment with a sheathe block (Rh.) throwing them off guard. As the attack is blocked she'll respond with a quick stab at the gut face or leg or a heavy slash. (Jag.) When on the offenses she switches to a high guard.
  • Stance: *The flowing high stance enables her to quickly transition into *weak yet stable* footing positions. When ***losing ground she uses her more vulnerable but relaxed core to dodge; utilizing a relaxed shuffle inspired by ballet and boxing. Big firm step, stay on toes. ***Every transition is a viable striking stance.
  • Fault: The **relaxed open guard allows her to block and transition more quickly but leaves her *open for an attack*, plus she loses ground fast. so she compensates but utilizing more stamina and core strength. **Moreover with the high stance, a stronger opponent could break her weak footing; Causing her to use more energy to balance. **Due to her enhanced strength, she can keep it up for a good while but it gets taxing. ***The style hinges on the sheer veracity and strength of her Junku Gizo-Jin heritage.
  • Fault: She still ***lacks a certain degree of agility so her dodges aren't perfect. She's more of a *little tank*. She ***can't do the same amount of fips and turns her spritely Father could without using a lot of wind power. but she attempts to make up for this with endurance and high pain tolerance, striking strength, and the block technique.
  • Focus: ***This style forces her to focus her anger and blood lust on specific targets but, instead of waiting in an attrition-style match to always kill with one hit, she prompts the enemy to get close enough to break their guard and quickly damage them as much as possible; if not killing or debilitating opponents making them less effective over time. This is also enhanced by Junku-wa blood lust which will be explained later.
  • Blocking: She frequently will **block with the sword and bludgeon or jab the opponent with the butt of the sheathing. Targeting the gut, legs, or face. Another clever resourceful spin on these techniques is utilizing not only the environment but utilizing every part of her sword. Ex:* She'll block a side slash with the sheathe, close in, and bash an enemy with the pommel of her sword, bludgeon eye with the edge of the guard to name a few.
  • Fault: This style can't be used for a long amount of time though it is **exceptionally effective with groups and one on one battle alike, It proves ***somewhat ineffective against stronger, more durable opponents. Weaker when on the offensive. *She'll often get sloppier, less focused, and reckless as a fight goes on. ***Causing her to get creative. (Though there are other situations where she'll use two-handed to her advantage.)
  • Visell using her increased sight and reaction time also is ***more effective at deflecting and cutting bullets and projectiles than her Father and Uncle. Of course, she can't take a fully automatic but a semi-auto or bolt action ballistic? Yes!

Powers. Kuma Style PT. 2

  • Mussoman also encouraged her to fully utilized her powers in her fighting, unlike Soulman who believed sword technique was everything.
  • Electric powers: When fighting she uses her sword as a conduit for most of her ElectroPhage power. She uses shifting blocking poses to summon electricity through her blade swords and around her. Taser: extends two fingers off weapons and arches electricity around them. Pylon: Lift sword overhead (Supposed to imitate a Black Power fist.) Current: Point blade at the opponent. (She stand on tiptoes as she uses this power.) Return stroke
  • She uses her electric power to burn, paralysis, disorient opponents and burn through armor.
  • She uses Electricity interspace with regular attacks quite often. The boost her efficiency and counterbalances the physically taxing elements of her style.
  • Special move: She can use Electric currents as an extent to her sword; creating a cutting band of electricity.
  • Fault: However; once she's physically tired, it's harder to quickly manifest her powers especially Hale, and Nor'easter variants.
  • Wind powers. The smoothest way to use her wind powers is to manifest them through: "Shifting of the legs" while this involves conventional kicking. She usually curls her legs up in a smooth motion as she shifts stances, jetting her leg up, shifting and sliding her feet. For stronger attacks, she'll jerk or swing her arm or do a proper kick. Nor'easter Burst: Sustained arm position, concentration, her finger flick out causing the pressurized air to explode. Nor'easter Tower: Uses magnetism to swirl sword around at blinding speed until a small tornado appears. Nor'easter Gust: Usually manifested through a hard exhale. She sometimes will sometimes hold her sword two-handed, with a hard slow swing, a giant fan of air will wash over the battlefield. Reminder: Nor'easter is effective, yet exhausting and must be used sparingly. She usually utilizes weak blasts to achieve an efficient stride. Nor'easter
  • Her wind-power is used best to throw enemies off-balance, throw them back, into walls, to the side, off there, feet or, blow small objects and dust in their face. The more powerful blast can cause more environmental and AOE damage at the cost of energy.
  • Magnetism/Pulse: Her second most used active power. She often uses this to magnetic objects in her surroundings altering the playing field greatly. She uses swift, jerking motions to increase the force of her magnetism.
  • Visell can magnetize swords and disarm enemies, bend and move metal in the environment, (car doors, trash cans, knives, scrap metal, guns, gun parts, poles, pipes, etc.) Though the small the object the more she must concentrate. **And she usually can't affect objects in motion, especially small objects in motion (Bullets, rockets, projectiles, planes.) Her magnetism limit is about 100lbs. Furthermore, she can only focus on 1-3 items at a time depending on size and proximity.
  • Special Moves: One innovative move she uses is as she blocks with her sword or sheath she'll magnetize it in mid-air, holding the enemies sword in place, for her to uncurl her hands and attack with electricity, wind, or a punch, swiftly grabbing her sheathe out the air. Or she can magnetize both and use them as shields to transition into a boxing mode for a second. Or she can propel her blade like a spear through magnetism.
  • Hale: Visell manifests large pellets of ice around her feet. And frankly just kicks them like soccer balls.
  • She uses this interspersed with shifting position. She'll form an ice ball on her foot and kick it in the face of her enemy. Or she can form it from her fist and punch it in their face. That's really the full extent of the power, some PolyMorph Powers are weaker than others.

Junk-Wa Blood And Street Shit. Kuma Style PT. 3

  • The Blood Lust. As Visell fights longer and longer, she gets sloppier, more brutal, and reckless as she compensates for a lack of energy, patience, and precision with sheer strength alone. This happens more often than not, especially with stronger opponents.
  • She also gets more animalistic as well. She'll growl, snarl; using her nails and biting if she's desperate enough.
  • Though her short, dark grey claw-like nails are viable weapons by themselves.
  • Generally, she's able to coast off of naturally higher levels of endurance, dexterity, stamina, and strength. But seldom it's not enough.
  • She will often use unconventional, off-the-cuff "Street moves"These are collections of little tricks she learned from getting her ass kicked throughout her childhood and from her brother Tollen: Tripping up enemies, spitting in faces, kicking enemies in the loins, eye-gouging, spitting in eyes, and general nonchalant shit-talking. "Yeah ya'll bunch is a big talker but all I see is you just waving big swords around, tryna compensate or something? That ain't healthy boys!" "Fucking with a queen bitch like me is bad for your health!" " The Queen Bitch of Konzu claimed that ass now your eating grass!" Arthur scoffs and rolls her eyes.
  • Visell is known to bit people. Her sharp canine-like teeth can easily break through the skin and muscle of most humans.
  • Visell will occasionally make use of her Horns as an offensive weapon. Being a moderate size, super dense, and sharp, they are great for stabbing and gouging. She doesn't use this technique often due to their sensitivity.
  • Visell despite her inexperience and ill-tempered, reckless ways is supported through, creativity, natural aptitude, and training.
The Kuma style or bear style utilizes a mix of sword fighting technics from her father and uncle, interspersed with her powers and general blessed genetics. utilizing a principle strong guard and battlefield psychology to gain the upper hand in must fights. Just when you think a bear is cute and lumbering until it stands up and slashes at your head. and even through knives bullets and bludgeoning the bear endures.
