Long ago, the eight gods created the land of Frell, but as is often the case, power corrupts. The gods grew jealous of each other and conflict soon broke out. God fought god and mortal fought mortal, and in the process, a land of natural beauty and void of super natural occurrences, was corrupted by magic, and may forever fell its presence. The war ended when the gods were locked away in their own realm, though their influence remained in the mortal realm, and through the lunar body of Frell, they continued to affect the mortal realm. From the absence of the gods arose those lesser magical beings, with their power growing they grew to become gods in their own part, and filled the role of the greater power many searched for in their life.
