The world of Fractus was known by many names in its history, Corpus, The Crust but to you, you know it as home.   200 years ago the Callistrian Empire fractured into the Continental Empires and Kingdoms that are seen today, ending the 1800-year-long reign of the evil theocracy of the paranoid and bigoted Oracle.   Within this world, many common races have become rare, exotic or have disappeared off of the face of the plane entirely. No one knows what happened to the ancient and advanced Tiefling islands of Cimmeria. Though a few stray Tieflings, riddled with madness and terror say they fell from the islands in the sky of the Storm Sea. The Dragonborn disappeared to their old mountain fortresses, an ancient vestige of when dragons ruled the land with iron fists.   The old political unity of the world is nothing but an ancient memory, Kings and Lords quarrel over the rich, abundant resources of the lands around them. The Land is a mess of wars, borders and claims, a political minefield for the common man trying to survive.   A strange new plague in the east is wracking the lands around the Storm Sea, a plague that starves its victims of their magic. But far to the west, the lands of Avalonia are still racked with war as the New Callistrian Exarchate attempts to reclaim the lands it lost in its war with the Kingdom of Celesia.
