Q Group

War never changes, but it does update.

Quantum Defense and Innovation Group, commonly shortened to Quantum Group, Q Group or simply Q, is a private military company. Much like its police counterpart CSD, Q Group is the corporation currently responsible for protecting Fortune City from outside threats. They also play an important role in preventing and dealing with catastrophies in peacetime, such as natural disasters.

Structure

Q Group has many subsidiaries covering different sectors of military matters, such as Quantum Aerospace and Quantum Intelligence - most of these were previously government defense branches. The highest-ranking official in the company known to the public is General Norman Harrow, but the existence of a higher commander-in-chief (referred to in declassified Q documents as "top command", the company CEO in purely technical terms) has been noted. Their identity, however, remains a secret - reportedly even to relatively high-ranking commanders.

Since drones and autonomous AI weapons became more and more common on the battlefield it has been noted that Q very rarely uses the term "soldier" anymore, instead just referring to anything capable of making its own decisions as a "unit".
