Getting Hired

Gideon Thornhill, owner of Silver Flood Inn would like to hire the PCs to investigate the supply chain from Julkoun.
Gideon, having observed the shortage and sensing an impending crisis in Julkoun, wants to investigate the situation and assist the farmers. He hires the PCs to deliver a shipment of essential supplies to Julkoun while discreetly gathering information about what's causing the shortage. Gideon has a vested interest in maintaining good relations with the surrounding communities and ensuring the stability of trade routes.

Travel to Julkoun

On the way to Julkoun, there is a small encounter with goblins just off the main road.
As the party makes their way towards Julkoun, the air becomes tense, and the surroundings grow eerily quiet. The road winds through a dense thicket
Perception Check DC 10 to see a pit trap
Dex Saving Throw DC 10 to avoid falling in. Must also roll for mounts
Suddenly, a group of kobolds, riding atop menacing giant lizards, bursts forth from the foliage. The kobolds wear crude leather armor, adorned with mismatched trinkets and trophies. Their scales range from mottled greens to deep browns, camouflaging them amidst the vegetation. The giant lizards, their scales blending with the forest hues, move with surprising agility.
There are 2 kobalds riding on the backs of giant lizards that burst from the bushes.
There are two kobalds in the pit off to the side to kill anyone that falls in the pit. They can easily hop up ladders out of other tunnel holes to either side of the pit
The whole thing is led by a Winged Kobald with Green Scales who flies in and attacks, but will run if he feels threatened.
