Session 24: The Order
Where we left off, the party has all gathered back together in Silverymoon to plan a way forward. You intend to continue chasing after Niles Hawkwinter and his daggers, who have journeyed into the High Forest. Niles’ right-hand, Eliza LaCrowe, is supposedly taking the ancient elven ruin of Milamnhr, while Niles himself heads for the Grandfather Tree, where he undoubtedly has nefarious plans for the dragon that protects the forest.
Galan met with the Order, including their mysterious figurehead, Castien. He told you stories of the Cult’s last thwarted attempt to summon Tiamat, and of how the ancient ruin you’re headed toward was where the previous Green Wyrmspeaker was slain almost twenty years ago. The Green’s mask was never recovered, so Castien would like you to be on the lookout for any information regarding it during your exploration.
Meanwhile, Sylgwynn and Eldwin continued to try and decipher the cryptic messages left by Iris Lavender. Specifically, a message that apparently awaits you ‘Where the silent keeper laughs.’ You deduced that the silent keeper refers to Dumathion, a dwarven god of ores and gems, but have yet to determine its full meaning.
You all currently sit inside the Wayward House, a tavern, where you’re discussing your plans. You’ve heard disturbing news of the High Mage’s murder in Silverymoon, and it seems to be all that the other patrons are talking about. From what you’ve heard, you have a bad feeling the cult has ties to it. In the corner of the tavern sits Artaz, a tiefling you befriended in Waterdeep, who Thalia had asked to meet with.
