Percy's Log - Day 33

In the morning we continued our journey with Azzaun acting as our guide. In hindsight journal why on earth we let the guy who got lost in the jungle after his original band was killed and that we found starving to death lead us? What were we thinking? I mean this is the same man who was almost got killed by a snake doing “something” in the jungles… perhaps we shouldn’t have put all our apples in his basket to lead us through this. Nonetheless it happened…what happened? I have no idea… but somehow we managed to find ourselves in a lake… yes a lake, something that shouldn’t even be connecting to the river. Suffice to say Azzaun will no longer be guiding us and Zamisi was put reestablished as our party’s guide, luckily she isn’t one to gloat…   Anyways while on the lake I decided to cast my net to see if I could scoop up any fish, I’m rather rusty but in the end I still managed to pull up a sizable haul. After all the excitement it was getting pretty dark so we decided to just shore up and set up camp. On shore we noticed that the plants in this location were sickly looking and poisonous something to make note of but nothing to be done at this time. We did our watches and went to sleep.   It’s worth noting I had that dream again journal the one where I’m tiny and stuck in a spider’s web screaming “Help me! HELP ME!” with my tiny voice yelling at the top of my lungs... I sounded very different this time around… oh well it’s just a dream no sense trying to make into something it’s not.

Author's Notes

Session Date 01/12/2018   • Behind the Scenes - The dream is a meta reference both to the movie the Fly as well as during watch when Percy was asleep one of our party members (Tavaquik) openly ignored a pixie in distress who was caught in a Mantrap plant. The pixie did not survive and none of the other characters knew of its existence.
