What are roamers?
Roamers are those who have no home settlement, and travel the sea alone or in small groups.
Roamer is an umbrella term for anyone who travels the sea with no permanent settlement to return to. There are 4 main types of roamers, and most can be fit into one of these categories.
Adventurers: Those in search of excitement and the great unknown, Typically small groups of 1-10 people travelling on a small ship
Pirates: Often violent groups, pirates raid small settlements, other roamer ships, or sailing cities, to take whatever they want for themselves. Their crews vastly range in size, from small crews of 5, to crews the size of sailing cities, sometimes with a few thousand crew members.
Researchers:These roamers sail the seas to research the new world. (makes sense) Some travel to map as much of the world as they can, some wish to document the creatures that survived the Flood as well as the new creatures that have appeared, while others just wish to learn of the cities and cultures that have survived or been created since the beginning of this new Era.
Wanderers:Those who are travelling the open ocean not by choice, but because they have no where to return to. These roamers are in search of a place to call home, sailing aimlessly in hopes they come across a settlement that will take them in. Some are able to find a place to call home, but most die on their journey across the sea.
