Exodus to Space

April 17th 2087. 40 million people have left the earth in the past 6 months. for the past two years a small colony of 1000 people have been living successfully on mars, slowly building up infrustructure in preparation for the mass exodus of earth. It will take another month for the first of the mass population ships to arrive on mars, each one carrying 100,000 people. The majority of those on these ships were the wealthiest 1% of the population who either paid 50 million per seat, or funded this project themselves. The american private company Red Horizon Development recieved funding from 1 million of the wealthiest individuals in the world, to develop luxury spacecraft known as supercruisers. These ships each take 7 months to arrive on mars, and first launch began on October 30th 2086.

When Asteroid Dragon crashed into the ocean, all earth communication with the supercruisers was lost. As the first cruisers still had a month of travel left before landing on mars, it is unknown how many, if any, supercruisers arrived on mars and joined the mars colony safely.
