Formican

Formicans are a race of humanoid ants that live in underground colonies. They have a militant society led by a queen and her drones, who serve as her generals. Each Formican is born into their profession to serve her queen. The only males alive are the drones. The only queens alive are the ones ruling over a colony. Since Formicans are unable to sense the Animus, they can only wield magic with the use of crystals. As a result, they lean heavily toward non-magic based classes.   Due to their unique royalty status, players are normally not permitted to play as queens or drones.   At this time, there is only one colony exists in the currently known world.   Type

      • Members of this race can use this spell as an at-will spell-like ability. The caster level of the spell is equal to the user’s character level.
        • The subject can climb and travel on vertical surfaces or even traverse ceilings as well as a spider does. The affected creature must have its hands free to climb in this manner. The subject gains a climb speed of 20 feet and a +8 racial bonus on Climb skill checks; furthermore, it need not make Climb checks to traverse a vertical or horizontal surface (even upside down). A spider climbing creature retains its Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) while climbing, and opponents get no special bonus to their attacks against it. It cannot, however, use the run action while climbing.
