Warbringer Prestige Class

Prestige Class: Warbringer   The Warbringer is a powerful melee combatant who specializes in drawing enemy attention, controlling the battlefield, and bolstering their own defenses. They possess the ability to hold enemy attention, mitigate damage, and sustain themselves through self-healing while dealing substantial damage.   Warbringer Features:   Requirements: To qualify for the Warbringer prestige class, a character must meet the following prerequisites:  
  • Proficiency in martial weapons and heavy armor.
  • The ability to make multiple attacks with Extra Attack or similar features.
  • Proficiency in Constitution saving throws.
  • The character must have demonstrated exceptional combat prowess and a knack for taking and dishing out damage.
  Combat Stance: At 3rd level, you gain the ability to adopt a focused combat stance. While in this stance, you gain the following benefits:  
  • Your attacks have advantage against creatures that have attacked your allies since the start of your last turn.
  • You have resistance to slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage both magical and nonmagical. You gain resistance to fire, cold, lightning, thunder, radiant and necrotic damage.
  • You can use a bonus action to taunt a creature within 30 feet of you. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw against your Warbringer save DC or have disadvantage on attack rolls against any creature other than you until the end of its next turn.
  Chains of Binding:   At 7th level, you gain the ability to lock down enemies and limit their movement. When you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can choose to use Chains of Binding. The target must make a Strength saving throw against your Warbringer save DC or have its movement reduced to 0 until the end of its next turn. Additionally, the target has disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you until the end of its next turn.   Defensive Aura:   At 10th level, your presence on the battlefield provides a protective aura to you and your allies. As a bonus action, you can activate your Defensive Aura, granting you and all friendly creatures within 10 feet a bonus to AC equal to your Charisma modifier until the start of your next turn.   Extra Attack:   At 11th level you gain the ability to attack one more time when using the attack action. (Total three attacks)   Bloodthirsty Strikes:   At 15th level, your strikes become infused with a hunger for vitality. When you hit a creature with a melee attack, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Warbringer level. Additionally, if the target is affected by your Chains of Binding, you regain hit points equal to half the damage you deal with that attack.   Indomitable Resilience:   At 18th level, your indomitable will allows you to withstand even the harshest of assaults. Once per long rest, as a reaction when you take damage, you can activate your Indomitable Resilience. Until the end of your next turn you gain temporary immunity to all damage. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Abilities:   Defensive Stance (Iron Fortress): With a firm grip upon Stormreaver, the Warrior assumes a defensive stance, channeling their unyielding resolve through the great axe. The weapon hums with a subtle vibration, bolstering the Warrior's durability and fortitude. Defensive Stance, also known as Iron Fortress, enhances the Warrior's defensive capabilities, granting increased resilience, damage mitigation, and resistance against incoming attacks.   Inner Beast (Raging Berserker): Unleashing the primal fury dwelling within, the Warrior taps into the deep wells of their own strength and taps into Stormreaver's innate power. The great axe pulses with an intense energy, mirroring the inner fire of the Warrior. By invoking Inner Beast, the Warrior channels this raw, untamed rage to unleash a devastating attack. This ability not only inflicts significant damage upon the enemy but also bestows a temporary surge of vitality and resistance, fortifying the Warrior's own survivability.   Thrill of Battle (Heroic Resurgence): When faced with dire circumstances, the Warrior can draw upon Stormreaver's latent potency to invoke Thrill of Battle, a manifestation of their unbreakable spirit. The great axe resonates with a surge of invigorating energy, infusing the Warrior with renewed vigor. This ability instantly restores a portion of the Warrior's health and temporarily increases their maximum health pool, bolstering their resilience and providing a crucial lifeline in the midst of combat.   Holmgang (Tumultuous Binding): As the embodiment of unyielding resolve, the Warrior wields Stormreaver to invoke Holmgang, a binding technique that ensnares both the Warrior and their target in a life-or-death struggle. With a resolute grip upon the great axe, the Warrior creates an unbreakable bond, forcing the enemy to engage in single combat. Holmgang temporarily prevents the target from escaping and ensures that, for the duration, the Warrior  cannot fall below a certain threshold of health. This ability allows the Warrior to weather even the most dire circumstances, emerging from the clash as a testament to their unmatched endurance.   Stormreaver, the Titan's Wrath, epitomizes the Warrior's unyielding resolve and indomitable spirit. With its imposing presence and potent abilities, this great axe serves as a symbol of the Warrior's unwavering defense and their ability to withstand the onslaught of their foes.
