Vigoboma Armor
Vigoboma is a style of armor commonly seen along the Baredrow Coast, particularly in Pianti and northern Farne. It uses layers of linen and worked iron scales to create a protective shell from which it gets its name: "linen cage".
The underlayer is linen, breathable and used for padding. The underlayer tunic length varies in summer and winter versions, the winter dropping to the knees and the summer falling to the length of the mid thigh. The second layer is an optional gambeson, typically only used in winter seasons or when the wearer is traveling to a colder climate.
The first armor layer is scaled iron cinched together with leather bolting in a lamellar style. Epaulets of similar design are often included in this layer. This armor acts as a chest piece, stopping at the waist. Layered atop it is a linothorax: a thick cloth corset that covers the lamellar. It is typically used to depict the House colors and crest on the central chest area. Additionally, it is often fringed with a small skirt of thick cloth squares falling just above the mid thigh.
