City Factions

Degreedia

The Leviathan Order

Mith - Pyrotechnician of Degreedia
Ronan - Information specialist and intel gatherer
Ruez-Tar - General of the Army Animal Unit (AAU)
Nova - Guardian of the Palace
Bobbi - Escort and Executor of Nobles
Lycus - MIA since the death of Count Maggi
The Leviathan order are the right and left hand of the king of Degreedia. They do tasks set out by the king and it is said that their skills are legendary or even supernatural with powers that normal people can't even imagine.
Mith is the explosives expert and is said to have blown up many supplies of enemies and even the whole army in one single spell.
Ronan has supernatural powers being able to know knowledge that even the most experienced intel collectors can't collect. People have tried to hide from his sight with spells like Non-Detection but that hasn't worked.
Ruez-Tar has the most terrifying army of gargantuan sized chickens that can level towns with a step. If all else fails in war, then we send in this creatures army. (Note: We can't send him and his chickens into battle right away and must be left as a last resort otherwise they start spouting nonsense like "You inferior lifeforms, may you be feed for my loyal chicks." and if one dies... we already lost one city.)
Nova as a being made of starlight, he can alter his form at will. The greed king has asked for them to stay in a dragon form because of its power and voracity. If the rest of the order fall, we believe Nova can solve the problem.
Bobbi? We don't talk about Bobbi...or Bobbi. (There is a crude drawing of a kobold with words "Bobbi waz here" under it.)
The final individual is Lycus, the strongest of the bunch but since the death of Count Maggius Von Spiel he hasn't been seen since. There are some rumours suggesting he is alive as they talk about the "Night Crawler" but we aren't sure.

The Black Hatters

This group is a gang that resides in the slum areas of Degreedia, offering 'Protection' money to the nearby shops and occupants of the places. You can always tell who a Black Hatter is due to the signature black hat they wear, if you are caught wearing one and not part of their group... well they'll flare you alive or cut ya into pieces.
The boss of the organisation is Litnes, he is an arms dealer and no guards have caught him due to being the apostle of Caheli. He gets his 'Tips' from the goddess herself which make most of the locals worship him so insider information is also scarce.
As an arms dealer he specialises in selling magic items and scrolls that are normally rare to the highest bidder and most of his shops are all around the continent, lucky they aren't out of it due to the Raven Queen.

The Raven's Message (aka the Information & Travel Guild)

This group is the number one place in the entire world to buy information from. Their HQ is based in Degreedia and is also the place where the Raven Queen resides. The Guild also looks over who can leave and enter each continent, without their blessing you're as good as dead when going through the Astral Wall. Despite their large grasp over the entire world with its information and travel control it is believed there are only 4 members of this group, them being the collective leaders of the guild.
Gallen - The processor of the information guild, he looks to see if the information they get is truth or a lie, he also deals with the people who lie to them. Anyone who meets him is compelled to tell the truth because of his apparent blessing.
Carsus - The collector of the information guild, he looks for and sells the information and is the second face of the information guild. Most people think he's a ghost or a monster because he has been seen in five places at once.
Silka - The cleaner of the travel guild, she looks after the boats and makes sure the travels are safe. There's a rumour that she can control astral monsters in some way as none of the information/travel guild allowed ships have ever been destroyed by Astral Dreadnaughts.
The Raven Queen - The face of the guild, she looks over every aspect of the guild and makes sure the rest of the leaders are doing their job. She is an apostle to Caheli and is at odds with the Black Hatters due to their smuggling. No one knows her face but it is told that she is a patron to those that love the Astral Walls.

The Harvesters (aka The Hive)

They harvest peoples organs and sell them on the market. That's all. Nothing else. Don't worry about it.

Selvanis

*Factions to be Updated after the death of The Eternal King Tharadin and rise of Queen Hellai*

The King-Sworn

Knights who have made an oath to the king and are the biggest faction within the country. They normally do tasks that are given by the king e.g. fighting bandits, keeping order within cities/towns. King-sworn don't have specific classes and are diverse ranging from wizards to rangers. Their weapons are blessed with the kings power allowing them to cast radiant light on their enemies.
King-Sworn are the only people allowed to stay within the kings presence for long durations at a time, allowing them to bathe in his Godly Aura and become stronger from this.

The Brood

The brood are a group of mutated humanoids that appeared over the recent years, not much is known about them but they live within the sewers of Selvanis all over the country. They commit terrorist acts around Selvanis as a faction that opposes the king. Their faction specialise in unstable magics/abilities that come from their mutations.
If you travel the sewers, beware of being attacked as The Eternal King has made a public statement that they kill anyone they see even women and children, so kill them first before they do it first.

The Bloody Mage Hand

This faction focuses on assassination and staying in the shadows. Their faction mostly comprises of rouges as their talents are the most useful for assassination. The faction has a building within the capital as the king has financed the faction for many years as way of using a different kind of method that the King-Sworn can't do. They specialise in poisons and rouge items.
Assassins of the guild like to wear unique armour to symbolise the creature they take the poison from.

The Chilling-Touch

One of the smallest factions but also the deadliest, they worship necromancy that was banned by the king and are mostly hidden around the continents not limited to Selvanis. They worship Vuvella and specialise in necromancy items/magic. They are allied with The Brood as their interests align to get rid of the Selvanis king.
The Legendary Lich who almost made the world a forever graveyard, first came from this faction. Due to this fact, the faction has gotten stronger but still keep to low numbers due to experimenting necromancy on their own members.

Badlands

The Stitched Order

The order is the expert guardsmen to the king of Badlands, all members of this order take a vow of total silence and stitch their mouths together. It is believed that with this method the king will not become corrupt because there are no mouths to speak corrupting words to him. The only members that have the capability of speech even after this vow are the highest ranked guardsmen who have trained enough to gain telepathy, this still appease to the vow because the blessing of the Badlands king makes it so telepathy can be stopped at any time by him.

The Strays

A group outside the city and towns, they live within the desert as forever wanderers/nomads. A stray is extremely skilled in surviving the harsh desert and will either aid a adventurer or harm them. Strays don't have a specific code as they are all split into different groups and most likely follow the rule that their group has made.
Aiding a stray is like aiding the group, help one and the rest will owe you. This is usually taken advantage of by corrupt people which led to some stray groups being more secluded than others.

The Roadsterz

A group that is normally green-skinned race dominated but there has been cases of other races being part of this faction as "Cheerleaderz". They ride giant scorpions and raid every trader or traveller they come across, and despite their unintelligent behaviour, in groups they are like a single entity riding into battle.
Many of the orcs and goblins paint their scorpions bright red because they believe it will run faster, which is actually true due to the fact the colour red is harmful to the scorpteria races so they are in constant pain when painted.

Lokavex

The Elvenkind

A group of elves that believe that magical crafting is the purest way of using magic and using "Barbaric" magic for combat is weak, while using a magic item is the best option. They are the creators and hold the monopoly on the 'Elvenkind' set, no other place can make them and if someone else does... they won't anymore. A large relic of the Elvenkind faction was the Coat of Elegance, it could make a creature appear the most elegant even if they are covered in blood; but this Coat was lost into the Faewild due to the Pallid Elf uprising a decade ago.
If you find a magic item, there is a high chance they were the ones to make it. This means they know the command word to deactivate it too...

The House of Greed

This faction is the noble faction of the elves, they believe that outsiders are not to be trusted and will hate on anyone who isn't a pureblood elf. The two leaders of faction are the married couple, that governs over the politics of the inside noble house of the Floating City of Lokavex.
Elkin believes that all races that aren't elves & elves that take part in interacting with other races should be put under control of the "Pure" elves, not in the slavery way but in the aspect that they should always be monitored because they are never to be trusted. He keeps the noble houses together, and sets up meetings for new rules to be set on Lokavexs' floating city.
Rialdi is the wife of Elkin and the second leader of the House of Greed faction. She looks over the noble families and incurs punishment to anyone who breaks the rules of Lokavex even the none floating city dwellers. Everyone who sees her must always give her a bow or they will feel her wrath for not respecting her. She was almost titled as the archmage before the current one, but refused the title due to it being "not high ranking" enough.

The House of Prosperity

This faction is the noble faction that believes that all races are equal and that no one should be persecuted for interacting with non-elves. The leader of this faction is a single man who stood up against The House of Greed and is the spokes-person for elves and people who are arrested by the Lokavex court. Due to his high position before forming this faction; he gained alot of supporters right away.
The name of the faction leader is Farden, he was once the right-hand man of the priestesses and was their information collector on the recent occurrences happening around the continent. Not many have seen Fardens face but due to his position on how elves should interact with other races, it is believed that he has as many body doubles as there are stars in the sky.

The Sight

The faction that directly take orders from the 13 priestesses, they are all pallid elves that have gems placed within their forehead. These gems allow them to see into the near future, allow them to protect their owners bosses. The origin of where the gems are from is shrouded in mystery, but when a pallid elf has one implanted they lose their original personality and are replaced with a more intense version of their previous self.
Removing the gem from their head is extremely taboo, no one has lived to tell the tale.

The STAGnation

This faction is the only one that isn't based in the city but within the wood elf's trade town. They welcome any races and do trade with them, they are also the creators of the well known stock market. The owner is a half elf, their mothers identity is a mystery but their father is a well known trader in Degreedia called Litnes.
The owner is called Selatis and is well known for her favouritism of gems, especially rare & glowing ones. If you should ever piss her off, you will not only have every trader in the continent not trade with you but also will have the Degreedia Black Hatters after you.
