A medieval fantasy world with a Chosen One, a Dark Lord, and a race against time was an idea initiated by Tolkien in an intriguing, epic way that eventually got taken by other writers and written into oblivion. It seems every young adult fantasy has all of those components, on top of the Chosen One being someone between the ages of 12-16, along with his two friends, a wise old wizard who explains to him it is his destiny, and an epic battle scene where the Dark Lord meets his demise.   Rebellious princesses, enchanted swords, huge prophecies, a bridge between our world and the fantasy one... we've read this story a thousand times over. But what would happen if our main character found himself in said medieval fantasy world... and accidentally kills the Chosen One? What if the rebellious princess decides to rebel not just by picking up the sword, but using it to kill her own father to steal the throne and force her people to reform themselves to suit her image of a successful kingdom? What if the person behind the Dark Lord's mask felt weak and immeasurable, so decided to take upon the task of uprising an evil empire to compensate? What if our main character were to fall in love with the Dark Lord?
