Banner-bearer Magus Chaplain Access to special forces training and resources For chain of command purposes, Banner-bearers, Maguses, and Chaplains are considered Caporals and do not command Guardspersons who are not Cadets. However, due to their additional training and the prestige of their units, they typically treat 'Guard Caporals as subordinates
Sergeant Banner Sergeant Magus Sergeant Prelate Command of a Patrol (12 Guardspersons) The smallest unit, often given time- or task-based missions
Master Sergeant Master Sergeant Adjudant Maester Prelate Command of a Dispatch (3 Patrols, 36 Guardspersons) Dispatches are often assigned to core population centers either alone or in tandem with other dispatches
Lieutenant Corp Lieutenant Adjudant Lieutenant Lieutenant Prelate Command of a Detachment (10 Dispatches, 360 Guardspersons) Detachments are based on particular fortifications and typically work in the region of their assigned fort or camp, but they can be relocated as needed
Captain Corp Captain Adjudant Captain Prelate Captain Command of a Squadron (5 Detachments, 1,800 Guardspersons) Squadrons are typically province-level though there may be more than one squad for a particularly large or populous province
Major Corp Major Adjudant Major Prelate Major Command of a Regiment (2 Squadrons, 3,600 Guardspersons) Regiments are region-level so there are four each of this rank
General Brigadiere Judicator Viceroy Command of the Pillarguard There are only ever one each of this rank, and they form the Guardhead who oversee all Pillarguard activities and strategies and serve on the Tower Council
